🎾 July is a BIG month at Cross in Hand!

We’re kicking things off with our first ever Ladies Tournament on Friday 3rd July, running all day with raffles, cakes and plenty of tennis. Contact Anne: 07801595279 to get involved.

The fun continues with our Saturday Summer Social on 11th July, 2–4pm, featuring pizza, beer and the Wimbledon Ladies Final. Contact Caroline 07955257809 (members only) to sign up!

A fantastic 4–0 win for our men’s 1st team, played with real grit in the sunshine. Huge thanks to West Worthing for making the trip and battling the heat with us ☀️🔥

Lovely evening for tennis as I sit watching from our recently acquired seating from high class enclosures! The cushions are out and certainly bright in the evening sunshine. Hope to see some more of you soon!

Great match today for the 3rd team - the “pink ladies “. Ended in a draw with some hard fought tie breaks and games going to deuce with lots of fabulous rallies and fun. A lovely friendly team who appreciated a great match and loved our clubhouse!!!

Thank you to this wonderful man, Steve, who with his boss, have sourced the club some fabulous new seating - from a famous race course I believe, and who is now staining it all black, as well as having previously painted the outside of the club, cleaned the soffits , barge boards windows and cleared out the gutters! He is a star - and all he’d accept as thanks was a Diet Coke and hopefully a free game of tennis some time! You are a star and the club and its members thank you from the bottom of our hearts ♥️ (photo was taken and posted with his permission!) And it doesn’t stop there - there is more to come, repairing and staining our picnic tables to match and the benches we have already. Bye bye plastic chairs - hello style! Now all I have to do is get sewing new waterproof cushion covers!!! 😂🤪
