Phew …. Mid-week disaster averted!!

What started yesterday as “let’s clean the shop sign” ended up with broken shutters 😱

After many attempts to sort out the problem, it was time to call in the experts 🤯

Our thanks to for such a fast response and to two of the loveliest fellas that managed to fix the problem today in super quick time. Thank you George and Gareth 🙏. We highly recommend this company!

We can relax now knowing the Dive Centre is secure again 👍

Hey everyone!!

Well it was back from the Dubrovnik Riviera last Sunday then straight to the Carnforth Riviera - AKA Capernwray on Tuesday to complete a PADI open water course 😳

Big congratulations to Paddy and Sophie on successfully completing their course, just in time for their overseas adventures 👏👏👏

Today we have 4 newly certified Drysuit divers! Congratulations to Delphine, Michael, Martin and Mike - Ready and set for some year-round diving now 👏👏

Another successful dive trip with Marina Scuba School 🤗

Beautiful Cavtat on the Dubrovnik Riviera, where the group enjoyed some lovely diving amidst beautiful scenery.

16 of us travelled. We had a hairy start to the trip with a luggage debacle at the airport followed by a diverted flight due to high winds!

Still, once we got settled, much fun was had in and out of the water!

Our thanks to Boris and the team at ; the staff at Remisens Hotel Epidaurus - what a fabulous location together with fantastic food (highly recommend) - and to the people of Cavtat ❤️

Mostly our thanks to the guys and gals that joined us… great company, great fun and lasting friendships made 🫶

Next stop … Egypt 🇪🇬 in November 🤿🎉

Happy weekend!

Wow, yesterday our open water students rattled through the skills without hesitation and are now ready for Capers! 👏👏

We had Discover Scuba, snorkelling and skills practice in the pool too! Always great to see our certified divers pop back for a pool session 🥰

TODAY …. It’s club dive trip time 🎉🎉🎉
We’re off to Cavtat in Croatia for a weeks’ diving and can’t wait 😝

Just catching up with the week since last weekend!!

We had another busy pool on Saturday with open water students and PADI reactivates, plus a snorkeller!

Then it was back to Capers on Sunday to certify Mason and Jack as Open Water divers.. and Jack with a Drysuit speciality under his belt too👏👏

We also started an Advanced Open Water with Hayley and Eddy, then were delighted to certify Peter as an AOW diver👏👏👏

Capers again on Tuesday to certify Eddy as an AOW diver (sorry about the cold weather Eddy!)

Then day 1 of the Open Water course was completed by Sophie and Paddy 👍

Talk about ‘All Go’!!
It’s just as well we love what we do 🫶

Congratulations to everyone, so proud of your achievements 🥰

Changed it up this weekend for a tricky couple of dives at the lovely Trearddur Bay in Anglesey!

12 club divers enjoyed a scenic and wreck dive, directed by the wonderful skipper Diggs… and the weather was kind to us too - shame visibility below wasn’t better! Still, it was great to get out into the wider waters 👌

Thanks Diggs for accommodating us in 2 groups 👏⭐👏

And they’re off .. Again!!!

Great to welcome another cohort of enthusiastic students to the dive centre today as they embark on the PADI open water course … and they’re already talking about what’s next - it’s only week 1 😳🤣

We’re always happy to welcome back our certified divers for a little pool scuba too 😍

We’re off to Anglesey on Monday for some pleasure diving. Pics to follow 🐠🤿

A weekend at Capers….. what’s going on ??

We cancelled yesterday’s pool session so we could get in an Advanced open water course ahead of our upcoming Croatia dive trip. Day 1 out of the way … day 2 on 10th May 🤞

A night at the local Truckhaven and back to it today to finish off another PADI open water course.

Chuffed to welcome Dan, Mia, Ellador and Katie to the world of scuba diving 🤿
Well done everyone, you all did amazing 🤩 👏👏

Our next Rescue Diver course dates are now available 🥳

Join us at Capernwray Quarry on 26th and 28th July 2026 for one of the
all-time favourite courses undertaken by scuba divers!

The PADI Rescue Diver course will change the way you dive – in the best possible way.

You will gain lots of confidence in the water, learning how to overcome minor issues, how to use an emergency oxygen kit and how to help other divers. Overall, you will become a better dive buddy!

At your training sessions in the water you’ll practice a number of scenarios, using role-play with your Instructor and students learning how to deal with such things as leg cramp and assisting a tired diver.

DM to reserve your place or request more information.

We are happy to answer any questions you have about this and any other courses we offer.

Please note: To undertake the Rescue Diver course you must have completed your EFR training within the last 24 months. If you haven’t, then reserve a place on one of our upcoming courses at Marina Scuba School.

As with all PADI courses, there’s e-learning to be completed prior to the session.

Course Prerequisites:
EFR Primary and Secondary Care training (or qualifying training) within 24 months.

Minimum Age:
12 years or older
