Looking for something fun, active and completely FREE for the kids this evening?

Our FREE Softball Cricket Sessions start TONIGHT at Crook Town Cricket Club, and we'd love to see as many new faces as possible!

🏏 2nd XI Team Announcement 🏏

With the rain finally taking a day off, Lewis Formosa leads the 2nd XI out at Dawson Street, hoping to make the most of the sunshine and continue Crook's strong run of form ☀️🏏

At the top of the order, Phil Wills will be looking to carry on his excellent form. Reliable, composed, and stubbornly difficult to remove, Phil has become the rock around which the innings is built ⚓🏏

Returning from 1st XI duty are Geoff Morgan and Joseph Macleod, adding plenty of quality and experience to the side. With both capable of causing chaos with the ball, Lewis has some serious firepower at his disposal, and opposition batters may find themselves having a long afternoon 🔥🎯

Meanwhile, Jake Norman and Harry Hutchinson will be looking to continue their fine form. Whether it's a wicket from nowhere, a sharp catch, or a game-changing moment in the field, both have developed a habit of making things happen when the team needs it most 💪👏

With sunshine forecast, a strong squad assembled, and plenty of confidence in the camp, all the ingredients are there for a cracking afternoon of cricket at Dawson Street ☀️🍻🏏

🏏 1st XI Team Announcement 🏏

The 1st XI are on the road this weekend as Andrew Robinson leads the lads on the short trip to Tudhoe CC for what promises to be a closely contested game of cricket 💪🏏

Andrew is boosted by the return of Anthony Brown, whose experience and quality make him a key figure in the top order. Anthony's ability to contribute with both bat and ball gives Crook another valuable weapon as they look to continue their strong form 🔥

Adding further strength to the side are Rohan Aggarwal and James Million, both capable of making a big impact and providing support in all departments of the game 👏

Behind the stumps, Marcus Sharp will be looking to build on an outstanding display last weekend. Four catches and a run out made for a memorable afternoon, proving once again that if you give Marcus a chance, he'll usually take it 🧤⚡

The bowling attack also arrives in fine form. Elliot Davis continues to make life difficult for opposition batters, returning impressive figures of 3-29 last time out, while Dominic Ward led from the front with a superb 4-21, combining accuracy, control, and a knack for finding wickets when they matter most 🎯🔥

With form throughout the side and plenty of confidence in the camp, the lads will be looking to make the short journey home with another positive result in the bag 💙

The pitch currently has more puddles than a duck pond, so there's no cricket to be played this evening 🌧️🦆

After what feels like weeks of dodging rain clouds and watching covers get more game time than players, the wait is finally over — it's Match Day at Dawson Street! 🌦️➡️🏏

Joseph Macleod leads the lads into action this evening as the 3rd XI look to make home advantage count and continue their strong form on familiar territory against Brandon Cricket Club💪🔥

Behind the stumps, Chris Gibbon is back with the gloves and will be hoping to add to his growing collection of catches. If the batters nick it, Chris will be doing his best to make sure it stays nicked 🧤👏

There's also a welcome return for Mark Sproat and Lee Tinkler, who pull on the Crook whites once again. After time away from the game, both will be eager to get stuck in and remind everyone what they've been missing 💙🏏

After what feels like an eternity of rain, postponements, and staring at weather forecasts, the 3rd XI are finally back at Dawson Street as Joseph Macleod leads his side into action at home against Brandon CC 🌦️🏏

The lads will be looking to make home advantage count and continue their strong form on familiar turf 💪🔥

Behind the stumps, Chris Gibbon returns with the gloves and will be hoping to add a few more catches to his ever-growing collection. Batters beware — if you edge it, there's a good chance Chris is taking it 🧤👏

We also welcome back Mark Sproat and Lee Tinkler to Crook colours. After time away from the game, both will be eager to dust off the whites, get back out in the middle, and make an immediate impact 💙🏏

The skipper will be looking to continue the fine form he's shown throughout the campaign, leading a side packed with confidence and quality 💪🔥

Keep an eye out for the Gibbons — they're that good, we've got two of them! 👀😆

Craig Gibbon returns after featuring for the 1st XI at the weekend and continues to improve week after week, particularly in the field where his commitment and work rate never go unnoticed 👏

Meanwhile, Chris Gibbon has been in outstanding form behind the stumps, taking catches, creating run-outs, and generally making life miserable for opposition batters. Consider yourselves warned 🧤⚡
