St Fillans Golf Club

Well, we have had a busy but fantastic few days here at St Fillans Golf Club. Last week it was full on preparing for our Gents Open on Saturday. The weather was kind to us and John Myles had the course in splendid condition. We hope you all enjoyed your day & thank you for your support. Congratulations to our winners and especially to Jim Nicol our overall handicap winner who wins the Anna Visscher Trophy for the best Net score. There were no winners in the Magic 2's so the pot of £122 is donated to the Sandy Lyle Brain Tumour Charity.
On Sunday it was the turn of the ladies with our Team Invitational with representation from our friends at Muthill Golf Club Callander Golf Club and Killin Golf Club It was lovely to see you all and we did manage slightly better weather this year! The golf saw Callander Golf Club ladies victorious and then we enjoyed a super meal thanks to Deli Eats. As always Gordon Hibbert had everything running like clockwork and our thanks for that.

It isn’t always all about the golf, but when it is we still have a few spaces remaining for our Gents Open on Saturday 5th September. Catering from Deli Eats will be available all day.

Wow! what a fantastic day we've had for our Sandy Lyle Charity Day raising money & awareness for the Brain Tumour Charity. There are so many folk to say thank you to for all your hard work, generosity in donating Auction Lots and for the very generous bids we have received. Big thank you to John Myles for all his work giving us a course to be proud of. Deli Eats for the fantastic catering and especially the BBQ. Thanks to our team of volunteers (you know who you are) for all the hard work involved in the set up, on the day and the clearing up afterwards - we couldn't do it without you. A massive thank you to Sandy Lyle for being with us for the day, providing endless photo ops & spending so much time with the competing golfers. Our congratulations to the winning team 'The Soggy A**es" - (wouldn't like to upset FB🤐) and great to see two of the team members on the Sunday morning. Thank you to all our competitors for making it a special day to remember. Our heartfelt thanks to Gordon Hibbert for masterminding the whole event, keeping us beautifully on time and for being Mr SFGC Thank you!
