Great performance on a very tricky and lightening fast bangor green and we have reached the final of the Whitworth Cup.

Our oponents were Holyhead and we got off to a great start winning 3 of the first 4 games on, David jones 21 6, Peter Richardson 21 15 and the pairs game of Reg Chapman and Dave Goode 21 7. Our first loss was Gary mason 11 21 and he did well to get that many to be fair.

The last 4 kept the points flowing too, steve Jones 21 4, alun Parri 21 10 and a new pairing of Emlyn Williams and Gavin Davies 21 17. Jason Coupe was our 2nd loss of the night 21 13, again a very hard earned 13 it was.

Tough selection dilema for the final with captain Jim Beetham on the sidelines tonight. One more win for the first silverware of the season

Tomorrow we proudly play host to our local mon menal team who will take on wrexham in the federation league, 2 pm start. Refreshments available all day

Tonight we played penmaenmawr A in the gwynedd cup, we did what we do best and upset the odds with a win by just 2 shots 136 v 134, four each on games all winners being by the home teams.

A great effort by all, every point really does matter in cup games and thats proof

Our club and our game mourns the loss of a real gentleman, a great bowler and it must be said a proper character, Sadly Len Pitts has lost his battle with cancer and has passed away, you could always hear len on and around the greens, offering advice, sarcasm and wit, i personally remember being 8 nil up against, he turned, laughed and said 'right ill start now', of course he never gave me the jack again.

Rest in peace, Len 'lefty' Pitts
