We are seeking volunteers. Can you help your club in any of the below areas? Or can you help in any other way? We’d love to hear from you. Contact us [email protected]

Role: VP liaison
Duties: Communication with VPs by email, phone and face to face, to keep them informed with what is going on within the club. What support and volunteering they can help the club with, as well as upcoming events and fixtures. To be point of contact if they have any questions, comments or suggestions and to feed this back to the committee.

· Role: Sponsorship coordinator
Duties: Communication with sponsors by email, phone and face to face, to keep them informed with what is going on within the club. To be point of contact if they have any questions, comments or suggestions and to feed this back to the committee. To seek out new sponsors and communicate the benefits of being involved with CRFC.

· Role: Women’s lead
Duties: To lead on rebuilding the women’s sector of CFRC, with the rugby ethos that is vital to CRFC (respect for all, team work, inclusivity, passion for rugby, and integrity on and off the pitch) To lead on recruitment of new players. To organize training and friendly fixtures as appropriate. To work with the current committee, providing ideas and innovation for the way forward, as well as respecting what is realistic at CRFC currently. To coordinate a higher level of female involvement within all areas of the club.

· Role: Bar and kitchen support
Duties: To provide your availability (as much or as little as you can) for home games in order for us to create a rota of volunteers to run the bar and food on home match days. Food hygiene certificate preferred but not essential.

· Role: Rugby safe lead
Duties: To complete and maintain risk assessments, audits, and insuring first aid measures are upheld including kit and sufficient medic cover on match days.

· Role: Medic
Duties: Providing medical cover on match days. You will need to have First Aid at work or Rugby first aid (which CRFC would be happy to fund if you would like to take on this role but do not have current qualifications)

· Role: Various within the Junior sector
Duties: We are looking for support with managing finances, safe guarding, coaching, first aid cover, food and kitchen assistance.. For further details please contact Paul Goodison ([email protected])

“Not the dinner dance!” 😊

7pm - midnight

This year’s annual celebration is taking a slightly different form this year. We invite you to join us on 22nd April 2022 at the GRC for the Men’s awards ceremony followed by a fish and chip supper and disco 💃 🕺

This event will be slightly more laid back than the traditional dinner dance, but we encourage smart dress all the same 🕴️👗

We’re so proud of CRFC 1XV for their performance this season! They haven’t lost a game this calendar year and don’t intend to break that now as they take on the unbeaten top of the league tomorrow! We know they’ll fight to the end! 💪 Good luck boys, we’ll be cheering you on from the side lines 📣🍻

Tomorrow is the Men's last game of the season.
With an outstanding turnout to training the last couple of weeks, and a full squad announced, the team are ready to host league leaders Burnham-On-Sea II's, with every intention of ruining their unbeaten season.

Bar will be open before, during and after the game.

Todays away game against Avonmouth has sadly been postponed due to bad weather conditions ❄️

Sadly our Ladies game Vs Crewkerne RFC Ladies is OFF ❌
Although the rain has helped the pitches are still just to hard and car park has large patches of ice.

Due to the current cold weather we ask that all club RugbySafe Leads and Coaches ensure that the pitches are safe to play/train on ❄️

Sadly due to bad pitch conditions today and with the weather predicted to be worse overnight and tomorrow, the decision has been made to postpone our game against Hornet’s tomorrow afternoon.

Very sad decision for the ladies but player safety, as always, has to come first!

We have one fixture left now before Christmas, Sunday 18th December away to Avonmouth! ❤️🖤
