Hardest thing I've ever done!

Ride the furtherest you've ever gone on the hottest day of the year in +30°C heat across the top of the Salisbury plains with no shade whatsoever... not the smartest thing I've done this year, either and I was feeling pretty sorry for myself by the end of it.

Glad to have completed the challenge, especially for someone who's not a specialist endurance athlete in any way, shape or form! Looking forward to continuing to build up towards being able to complete a 100 miler, hopefully in some cooler conditions.

Do hard things... you'll be a better person for it! 💪

A huge well done to !

One of Jade's goals for 2025 was a sub 30 minute 5Km run, and earlier this week she more than hit that target with a great time of 26:31! 🎯

Jade's been very consistent and dedicated to her PT sessions throughout the first part of this year, where we've focused on strength and conditioning work to build up her leg and core strength, overall stamina, and mixed that in with some weekly running interval sessions courtesy of 🏃‍♀️

Great to see clients improving and hitting their targets! Well done, Jade! 👏

A few action shots from my first off road duathlon: 5K trial run, 20K trail bike, 5K trail run.

A fun event (despite the quicksand and nearly loosing a shoe!) on a MOD tank training ground.

Not being an endurance specialist, I wasn't going for a quick time or try and beat anyone, but happy to have come well in the mid pack, and looking forward to doing another again in the future!

Taking fitness outside! 🚵‍♀️

I'm a big believer in building fitness in the gym, then taking that fitness outside and enjoying the great outdoors. Otherwise, what's the point of all those squats and push ups if you can't put them to good use? 💪

A fair few Km's ticked off today, even managed to dodge the showers for the most part! ☔️

A big shout out and well done to Kirsten on some great progress with her shoulder rehab!

I started working with Kirsten in the autumn of 2021 as she wanted to work on improving her strength and mobility in her left shoulder, which had been "frozen" for the previous 18 months. Her goal was to rebuild enough strength to be able to return to her gym classes, without having to substitute any upper body movements.

After a block of PT sessions where we focused on rebuilding the range of motion in the left shoulder, as well as its strength, and reducing the muscular imbalance that it had caused (see photo 3), fast forward to now, and she's achieved her goal of returning to gym classes at LIFT where she's continued to show up consistently and put in the work to continue to rebuild her shoulder strength.

She still has a little way to go, but the photos clearly show a much more balanced muscular structure across her shoulders now, compared to 8 months ago, and she's also improved her upper body lifting numbers and strength to match the visual progress, too!

Photos are current progress, then from May this year, and from January this year.

Great job, Kirsten! 💪

So shoulder injury and over 3 months of rehab = chest to bar pull ups have gone to sh*t, but legless rope climbs are the best they've ever been... work that one out!

A big shout out to PT client Jaqueline!

One of her goals when she started her PT sessions was to be able to complete this set of monkey bars, after realising she could only get halfway and being shown up by her children, who could get all the way over.

Fast forward a few months after some consistent effort in some upper body strength work and those monkey bars are no longer a problem, and she's now showing the kids how it's done! ✅
