Henhayes was once again blessed to another excellent and very close game this weekend as the Under 10’s hosted Chard Cricket Club in the Mid Wessex Cricket League this morning.

Chard just got the spoils in the end in another exciting finish.
We got a wicket in the last over which made it very tense and then with the final ball their was very nearly a run out which would have won us the game!!

Thrilling game of cricket this afternoon at Henhayes as we were narrowly defeated by just 1 wicket with just 1 ball to spare by league leaders Bear Flat Cricket Club 1sts in Somerset Cricket League Division 4.

Batting first we hit 239-8 from our 40 overs, contributions from so many.

In reply it looked like we had the game sealed as the visitors were 199-8 with just 4 overs left. However some brave cricket from the visitors in the “last chance saloon” saw them edge us out with just one ball left.

Disappointment in defeat but so many positives to take from the game plus 19 points and a great advert for Somerset League Cricket. Also hats off to Bear Flat 1sts for holding their nerve to chase it down 👏🏏

Crewkerne 239-8 lost to Bear Flat 1sts 243-9 by 1 wicket.

Enjoyable evening down at Uplyme & Lyme Regis Cricket Club as we earned ourselves a 7 wicket victory in a fun game very much enjoyed by both sides.

Defeat for our Under 10’s this morning against league leaders West & Middle Chinnock CC.

Second successive home win and 34 crucial points as we beat Wincanton Cricket Club in Somerset Cricket League Division 4 yesterday.

Inserted into bat useful contributions from a number of our lineup all down the order saw us post a competitive 182 a/o.

However a superb disciplined bowling and fielding display with wickets for all of our bowling attack saw a regular fall of wickets for the visitors and a fine victory which very much keeps our season alive. 🏏🏏👍👍

Great to actually play a mid week match as the sun ☀️ actually made an appearance in an enjoyable encounter with Thornford last night.

Our first trip their in over a decade saw us fall to defeat by 28 runs.
