Training is on Thursday Nights, at Henhayes Recreation Ground in the centre of Crewkerne.

And that’s a wrap for the 2026 season! Last match of the Somerset Cricket League Division 4 against Purnell CC falls victim to the weather ☔️☔️

8th place finish for us.

Brilliant 21 run win for our 10 men today in Somerset Cricket League Division 4 as we defended 149 against Bear Flat Cricket Club 1sts.

Batting first a determined innings from Rich Rowe and the usual fireworks from Harshad Hirapara in an impressive 2nd wicket partnership saw us nicely move to 81.

However once Hirapara was dismissed the runs dried up and we were skittled out for 149.

With 10 in the field it would have been easy for heads to drop but instead a brilliant effort in the field and some fine bowling kept the hosts under pressure.
The introduction of Ujjaval Jain as third change proved to be the master stroke as with career best figures and his first ever fifer he tore through the Bear Flat middle order and with fine support from everyone the hosts were bowled out for 128.

A fantastic team effort from everyone who played and a real buzz as we look to finish the season on a real high.

Last away Somerset Cricket League Division 4 fixture as we travel to Bath to take on Bear Flat Cricket Club 1sts.

Great game between both clubs earlier this season so looking forward to another one today 🏏👍

Enjoyable evening as we finished our mid week season with a win over Ilton Cricket Club

Playing the 100 Format for the first time, Skipper won a crucial toss and batting first we posted 133-8 with lots of contributions from all down the order.

In reply Ilton got off to a flyer, however after some Initial carnage we settled things down and with some wickets at key points plus the light disappearing in the end we won by 18 runs.

Huge shouts out to ;

Ilton for hosting and their young team who were once again a pleasure to play against and a credit to their club 👍🏏

All of our team for staying for a 🍺 tonight 🏏👏

Everyone who’s played and supported the mid week team. Some wins, some losses but some fun cricket and great moments👏

Great to welcome both Jay & Prab to the club tonight who both made impressive contributions on debut 👏

Finally to Max Harvey in what might be his last match for the club before he moves back to Australia. 🇦🇺 A genuine nice guy, who has been an asset to the club in the last 2 seasons since taking up Cricket in 2024. We wish him all the best for the future 👏🏏👍

Playing 12 a side and pleased to say a couple more new faces make their debuts tonight 👍🏏

Big win for us in Somerset Cricket League Division 4 as we managed to achieve the double over Wincanton Cricket Club and secure only our 3rd win of the 2026 season yesterday.

Unfortunately relegation was confirmed, but it doesn’t take away from a brilliant effort 🏏👍.

Winning the toss and batting first our innings of 287 (our highest of the season🏏👍) was built around 2 brilliant attacking innings from George Hallett and Harshad Hirapara. We won’t talk about George being run out on 99… 😢

Useful contributions from quite a few others helped 🏏👍

In reply Wincanton got off to a flyer but we managed to remove both openers in quick succession. At drinks the hosts needed 150ish with 6 wickets in hand.

However a regular loss of wickets eventually saw the chase effectively end and Wincanton were bowled out for 184 and a still decent 19 points.

Thanks to Wincanton as ever for a good game and we wish them all the best for the remainder of the season 👍🏏👏

6 wicket defeat in a enjoyable 16 over a side match against Merriott.

We posted a respectable 103-8, however Merriott chased it down with 2 overs to go.

Great to welcome a couple of familiar faces back to Henhayes and a big shout out to Merriott who pretty much to a man came back for a drink (or 2!!) afterwards at the Crooked Swan 👍🏏👏
