We are proud to be an England Football Accredited Nike Partner Club, with 20 teams playing from Manor Road this season, providing football for U7s through to Open Age on Saturdays and Sundays Football teaches cooperation and team work, helps develop positive social skills and teaches respect for others. It helps build self-confidence, a positive self-image and self-wort
h. It enables a child to improve upon and develop a broad range of motor skills like throwing, catching (if goalie!), running, kicking, balance, agility and coordination. A large variety of skills and physical abilities are required on a football team, there is a position for every child to play. Whether you want to just play, or want to join a team here at Madeley White Star FC, we have something for everyone! For those wanting to join a team, we are a Charter community grassroots Football Club and 14 teams from U7s through to Open Age playing on a Saturday in the Potteries Junior Youth League and Staffordshire County Senior League, and on Sundays in the North Staffs Junior Youth League and North Staffs Youth League. For those who want to just play, we have a Saturday morning Community Football School and are an FA approved Weetabix Wildcats Centre providing footballs sessions specific to girls only. Our aim is to provide children and young people with the opportunity to play football, make new friends, develop their skills and improve techniques in a safe, fun, all inclusive and positive environment. Each week fun, enjoyable coaching sessions are provided by our dedicated and enthusiastic coaches, who are FA qualified to a minimum of Level 1 and have in date FA Enhanced DBS, FA Safeguarding and FA First Aid certificates. Places are strictly limited to 12 per session due to the current pandemic, and are on a first come first served basis. We are now working towards achieving the next level of the FA Charter Standard Programme. The purpose of the programme is to raise standards in the grassroots game through supporting the development of clubs and leagues. It also recognises and rewards commitment, quality and achievement. The clubs and leagues who achieve The FA Charter Standard demonstrate they offer well-run and sustainable football. We are proud to prioritise qualified coaching and safeguarding, as well as the values of The FA’s Respect programme as part of our game.
