Well that was a wet and miserable morning of football ☔️🤣
But the boys certainly cheered up the morning with that performance. All of us agreed as far as a team performance goes, today was probably the best we’ve seen from them. The boys were absolutely superb and easily we could have give 9 player of the matches 👏🏻.
Some of their football at times was superb to watch, playing 2,3 touches, creating little triangles and absolutely bopping the ball around superbly.
We asked Parker & Seb to be demanding the ball so much more today and they certainly done that, picking it up of the back 2 and wanting to get us playing always making themselves available and grabbing themselves some goals today 💪🏻⚽️.
The wingers in Bailey and Jackson always being the options and having so much space to create so many chances for the boys today was also great to see also, both grabbing themselves goals 💪🏻.
Noah & Jamie using what we done at training Tuesday and holding the ball up bringing the others into play and not just turning into danger all the time, again this was something we asked of them and again both getting on the scoresheet 👏
Archie & Harvey our human wall…nothing going past them today, again aggressive in everything they did and listened to what we asked in trusting the lads even when having a man on 💪🏻💪🏻.
Player of the match today could of been any of them but we all agreed that Stanley was brilliant today…his distribution to the lads, his communication and constantly being an option to play back to, helped the boys today build up from the back and he also grabbed himself a goal with that superb penalty 😂.
Overall a fantastic performance and another great step in the right direction and into the hat for the next round of the cup 💪🏻.
So proud of what the boys are becoming and the direction we’re heading in together 💙
