We managed to raise £4,143 for Macmillan Cancer Support. This was our captains charity for last year and is a charity very close to our hearts. There are almost 3.5 million people living with cancer in the UK. The team at Macmillan work tirelessly to try and support as many as they can. We are incredibly happy to be able to support what they do with this donation and hope it makes a difference for those that need it.

1 year ago a Gentleman playing on our beloved course sadly passed away while playing a round. While he wasn’t a member of the club we still felt it was right to remember him. Our captain has placed a wreath from the members by his plaque and a minute silence was held as a mark of respect. We sadly do not have contact with his family but hope they are doing well. If any of his family see this post and would like to lay their own flowers please reach out to us. We will help to make sure you can do so safely.

🥄 Here we have 2 of our wooden spoon winners C.Willock (Vice Captain) and A.Walmsley (Handicap Secretary). The wooden spoon is fast becoming one of the most sought after prizes at our club. Awarded for highest gross score it’s an achievement some wish to avoid while others embrace it. Well done gents!
