A fantastic weekend for Tomas…..

On Saturday at the Oxford U15 Bronze - he reached the final of the doubles with his partner Arnav, and got a much deserved silver medal.

On Sunday at the DKWay U15 Bronze - he got a bronze medal in the doubles with his partner Iolo (Wales) and then in the mixed doubles with his partner Hollie (Wales) he reached the final, losing to the top seeds to gain another fantastic silver medal.

3 medals successfully collected over a very hot weekend!

Last weekend Harry headed to Nottingham to represent Devon at ICT as part of an 8-person team 👏

Having won the Over 35 National Championships a few months ago, Sarah Preece was selected to represent England (Over 35s womens singles) in the annual McCoig Trophy match against Scotland.
So on 13th March Sarah travelled to York and got her first cap for England!
England were victorious beating Scotland 31-12!

An amazing experience for Sarah, and a fantastic role model to all our players. It’s great to have her as a player and as a coach with us.

What an incredible weekend at the Yonex All England Open Badminton Championships 2026! 🏸

I had the amazing opportunity to attend as a VIP for the Special Olympics Great Britain badminton launch and partnership renewal with Badminton England and the Badminton World Federation.

One of the biggest highlights was stepping onto Centre Court to showcase Unified Badminton, where I played alongside athletes from around the world. It felt incredible to be part of such a special moment for inclusive badminton.

I also got the chance to go backstage, meet some legends of the sport like Park Joo-bong and Peter Gade, and meet finalists and champions just minutes after their matches. I even got to hold the women’s singles trophy!

It was an unforgettable experience and an honour to help make history as one of the first Special Olympics athletes to step onto the All England Centre Court.

Our Wednesday Lead Coach Sarah, played in the Over 35’s Masters Championships this weekend. A first for her, and even better she came away with a gold medal.
As a result of this, she has also been invited to play in the McCoig England vs Scotland fixture.

A fantastic achievement, well done.
