Surfboards, Wetsuits, Bodyboards and More! Circle One was founded in Exeter, Devon by legendary shaper, Jeff Townsley, back in the early days of 1969. As a young guy in the early 60’s, fortunate enough to live the surf dream , Jeff travelled with his fellow surf buddies through Southern France, Spain, Portugal, Canaries, Morocco and beyond in the essential beaten up VW campervan. Those journeys li

ke nothing else fired his passion for riding waves and surfing to the max. So, back in the UK and with feet on the ground, it is a classic story of humble corporate beginnings – making boards for himself and his friends taking inspiration from US Surf magazines. All the while Jeff was testing new designs, materials and production techniques, thinking how he could do things better, challenging the norm. Over 40 years on and the Circle One evolution continues. Today the brand is synonymous with technological innovation and craftsmanship, the same starting points of Jeff’s first exploits.

Step back in time without sacrificing the tech. Our Heritage range is a tribute to the golden era of surfing, using modernised shapes by the legendary Jeff Townsley, the founder of Circle One and an OG of the British shaping scene since the 70s.

These boards feature a Premium Epoxy Resin Tint finish. This traditional technique creates a deep, vibrant, and translucent colour that is "in" the resin, not just painted on. Because each board is hand-laminated and hand-finished, the tint creates unique colours and sometimes patterns, ensuring your board is a one-of-a-kind work of art. Combined with modern FCS II fin boxes (the most versatile system on the market), these boards offer vintage soul, wave catching ease combined with the reliability and performance of today's best materials.
