Come to Daddy… 👀

Last week at training, the boys got stuck into a bit of tackling, and it was an absolutely excellent session.

Even with the rain coming down, I think we were all secretly glad it helped soften the pitch up a little! 😂

Another strong session in the bank ahead of the new season, with plenty more tackling to come over the next few weeks.

Save the date... Saturday 10th October is our St Francis RFC Season Launch!

We’ll be playing Seaford 2s in a pre-season friendly, kicking off at 2:30pm, and we’re putting together a great day around the game.

Our new sponsors will be joining us, we’ll be unveiling the new kit, and launching a new club tradition to recognise commitment to St Francis. Every member and player who has completed at least one season with the club will receive their first St Francis pin.

We’ll have food from Mazza after the game, along with a few other bits planned throughout the day.

Before kick-off, we’ll also be holding a minute’s silence in memory of Krango, Annette Holt and Brian Trill. We had hoped to mark Brian’s passing with a memorial game in January, but that was lost due to the fixture being cancelled, so it feels important to recognise him properly on the day too.

An eclipse, judo throws, lineouts, scrums, back moves, run-throughs and post-sun drinks 💙🖤

Another great session in the tank for the boys.

We kicked things off trying to catch the subtle eclipse, before getting into a brilliant tackling session in the heat, led by our legendary judo expert, Simon.

A slightly different approach this week, with the lads learning how to fall properly, move safely and build confidence going into contact.

Next week, we’re heading down to Barns Green for some set-piece and backs work.
