I love receiving stories and feedback like this. And what a story Joshua's is! Joshua has been with GTF since our start and the progress he has made, is a real testament to his hard work and dedication.
Before GTF, Joshua was with a local grassroots team but unfortunately he suffered a series of significant injury setbacks. Several bones broken and lots of time away from football meant he lost his place on that team. But that hasn't stopped him, it's focused him and fuelled his fire.
At the start of summer 2025 it was clear that Joshua was regaining some of his lost confidence and needed to be back on a team. The question was finding him the 'right' team. Coincidentally, at that time we'd been hearing good things about Jean and Limitless FC so, we reached out and Jean gladly took a look and instantly liked what he saw. Unfortunately, the Limitless FC training schedule clashed with GTF group sessions, so with a happy heart, we said good bye to Joshua and wished him well on his continuing journey.
Recently, Joshua got back in touch, he was looking to work on some positional specifics in a 121 environment, following feedback from his grassroots coaches at Limitless.
The remit was simple, to be more confident on the ball and be more clinical in front of goal. He's making real strides towards these goals and the below feedback highlights this.
In 2 years, he's gone from a solid goal keeper albeit with limited game time to a legitimately dangerous no9. It just goes to show what hard work, determination and the right environment can achieve.
Well done Joshua 👏, you are doing brilliantly.
