Copthorne Golf Club is a members club in West Sussex that offers a high quality 18 hole golf course that was originally laid out in 1892 with additions by James Braid in the 1930s and by Bill Cox in the 1970s. We are situated between the towns of Crawley and East Grinstead and have excellent road links and - not that you'd notice when playing - can be found about 5 miles away from London Gatwick A

Open Final Qualifying

Well done to the 3 Sussex players who took part in Final Qualifying for The Open

Whilst not making it through as one of the top 5 finishers at each venue they battled hard and had a great experience.

Josh McCartain Golf At Goodwood was at Royal Cinque Ports Golf Club and Lewis Gurr Copthorne Golf Club and AJ Richardson Seaford Golf Club played at Dundonald Links Rubbing shoulders with DP World Tour pros and LIV Golf stars.

Pictured below are Lewis and AJ alongside YouTube star Peter Finch Golf who also gave a great account of himself in the quest to qualify.

Special mention too for Jon Exon-Taylor former Sussex county player turned pro who now represents The Wisley. He narrowly missed out on a top 5 spot at Burnham and Berrow Golf Club
