David Croft Online Coaching to hep people: Fix Joint Pain - Optimise Performance - Improve Overall Health and Wellbeing My belief is that every teacher is also a student.

I am a qualified Level 1 Moving Stretch trainer with a passion for enhancing all forms of movement; from day to day through to sporting performance. Having trained directly with Moving Stretch creator and founder Suzanne Wylde, I am passionate about sharing this ground breaking new way to stretch, which is unique and distinct from traditional stretching techniques. By providing resistance during t

he stretch we engage and reshape the fascia; releasing the body from pain, stiffness, and limitation. This helps to create a naturally healthy body, which is strong, flexible and fully functional. I lead group Moving Stretch sessions but also specialise in catering for clients’ specific needs, ranging from improving basic movements in day to day life, to enhancing sporting performance in one on one sessions suitable for all levels. I am also a Second Degree Reiki Okuden practitioner, have studied nutrition with the Health Science Academy and am currently studying Touch for Health Kinesiology. I endeavour to learn from as many people as possible, using as many different techniques as I can - which is why I like to move my body in as many ways as possible whether that be stretching, strength training, running, swimming, cycling or yoga. I also have a great interest in natural movement, having attended workshops run by both MovNat and Ido Portal.

Hands up if you're having fun! Here I am getting the runners ready for the Run For Your Life event on Hampstead Heath yesterday. Thanks to Moving Stretch for sending me down there, here we are going through the Sideways Reach stretch from page 141 of the book. To quote a guy who introduced himself as "Moose", "I've been doing that stretch for years but adding the resistance totally transformed it and felt much better". Moose knows the craic.

Here's a little bit I wrote for the website on how stretching can help runners....

Good study here with regards to preventing recurring hamstring injuries using an eccentric movement, something that we work on a lot during resistance stretching. Instead of acting when you get injured to try to fix yourself, find ways to prevent injuries so you can carry on doing what you enjoy.

"Everyone" knows by now that the Nordic hamstring can prevent a big number of new injuries in football, but this finding is worth sharing again and again.

Here's an idea example of the mobility that can be achieved after just one stretching session. Now, to keep and improve on these benefits a constant practise is needed, that's why we provide stretches to be done at home, after all, while it is always nice and worthwhile to see a bodywork expert, it is also imperative that responsibility is taken by the individual to look after the body in conjunction with specialised treatments. This should be encouraged by anyone you see for an type of treatment.
