How are you spending the time during the coarse fishing close season?

Some people use the time away from the rivers to sort out their 'tackle den' or maintenance their rods and reels, with others turning their attention to fly fishing for game fish. One easily overlooked aspect is renewing your rod licence. Do you know when yours expires?

Use the close season to make sure you are fishing legally, and if you need to, renew your licence online through the official gov.uk page (don't get caught out by anyone unnecessarily overcharging for a fishing licence).

Our enforcement work is funded by rod licence sales and delivered in partnership with the Environment Agency.
