Forge Wood Cricket Club continued their indoor cricket league season this Sunday and made it back to back wins to start the season.

Great start by Kashif and Hari followed by wonderful partnership between Khurram and Nawwaf with both batters remaining not out.

We set a target of 140 and manage to get them all out in the 11th over on 120. George bowled a crucial 9th over with only 7 runs that really put them under pressure. Brilliant bowling by Nawwaf, Kashif and Khurram too and some excellent stuff behind the wickets by Hari with 2 run outs.

Excellent effort everyone. Next game is on 15th. Let's make it 3rd win in a row 💪🏼💪🏼💪🏼

Forge wood cricket club 141/6 vs Three Bridges cricket club 105/6

First game of the season and it was great to be starting at home! The team have worked around the clock to get the cricket pitch ready for the new season and it certainly paid dividends as the ground was picturesque as the sun shone during our recent game!

Forge Wood Cricket Club came out victorious against local rivals Three Bridges Cricket Club!

With a superb 50 n.o from Arun and some tight bowling, with Goerge in particular bowling beautifully, FWCC won by 35 runs! Well done team and a great start to the season.

Want to play for a growing, inclusive, fun and engaging cricket club?!

Come and join FORGEWOOD CRICKET CLUB this season! We have two league teams registered, a number of friendlies, two T20 cup competitions already entered and more! We have indoor nets currently taking place and will have outdoor nets too, as well as training sessions. We have a number of social events taking place too!

We welcome players of all skills and ages - our only requirement is that you want to play cricket!

Match Report: Forge Wood Cricket Club vs Horsham Trinity CC. July 15th.

Horsham Trinity CC won the toss and elected to bat first against Forge Wood Cricket Club. It turned out to be a fantastic decision as Forge Wood's opening bowlers, Jibin and Arun, produced a devastating spell, wreaking havoc on the opposition batting lineup. They picked up three wickets each, reducing Horsham Trinity to 39/3 in the early stages of the innings.

The pressure created by Jibin and Arun continued to mount, and Horsham Trinity never really recovered from the early blows. The rest of the Forge Wood bowlers also joined the party, with Sanjeev and Nawwaf claiming two wickets each, while Zane contributed with a solitary wicket. Their combined efforts restricted Horsham Trinity CC to a meager total of 81 runs.

In the chase, Forge Wood's opening batsmen, Charles and Rai, took charge and showcased their batting prowess. They put on a masterful display at the top, effortlessly chasing down the target set by Horsham Trinity. Rai, in particular, was in an unforgiving mood, unleashing a flurry of boundaries and sixes. He smashed a sensational 73 runs off just 48 deliveries, including eight boundaries and six sixes.

Forge Wood Cricket Club demonstrated complete dominance throughout the match, maintaining their unbeaten run in the season. The team displayed exceptional skills and teamwork, both with the ball and the bat, to secure a convincing victory over Horsham Trinity CC.
