GSS Founder Steve Joy welcomed DP World Tour member Craig Lee to our Cranleigh Studio recently.

Following a successful career playing the regular Tour, Craig has now set his sights on the European Legends Tour and is in the process of identifying the appropriate club specifications to enhance this transition.

Having worked with Rhys on the European Tour Craig was particularly interested in testing TPT shafts with the intent of improving distance without sacrificing accuracy. He was pleasantly surprised!

With the US Masters about to tee off, I feel it is a good time to update you on what has been happening at Eclipse Golf over the winter months.

Firstly, we have a new website! Our domain name is the same (www.eclipse-golf.co.uk) but the layout is slightly different, and the pages are easier to navigate. One of the things you will notice when you visit the new site is that we have scaled back our services to Club Fitting only. This is a temporary measure and our Club Health Checks will be back in the mix soon. Let us know what you think of the new website!

Secondly, our studio is now based at Golf Swing Systems in Cranleigh. GSS are a leading specialist in designing and installing bespoke indoor golf simulators for commercial ventures & private clients seeking home-built solutions. We occupy one of their state of the art bays with Trackman 4 analysis and simulation. This impressive set up really enhances our Club Fitting service and is well worth a visit if you are considering testing any of the new products from the major brands.

Lastly, in addition to my commitment to Eclipse Golf, I have recently been appointed Global Sales Manager for TPT Golf. TPT Golf has experienced significant and rapid growth in the premium custom fitting shaft market since its inception in 2016. This growth has been driven by their patented and automated 'thin ply' manufacturing technology that eliminates typical shaft issues like 'spines', resulting in very high consistency. This level of consistency has noticeably increased adoption on the professional tours where they have had over 70 tour wins to date. I am excited to be part of their continued success. Naturally, Eclipse Golf will hold all TPT shafts for testing but our Performance Fitting™ methodology will continue to be unbiased.

I will continue to be involved in Eclipse Golf, acting as Performance Development Director, and will be available for exclusive Club Fitting appointments in the coming weeks for all Eclipse Golf customers. Moving forward, my intention is to recruit a highly qualified development technician to manage Club Fitting, Health Checks, Tuition and Club Maintenance services.

I would also like to announce that Michael Jennings is now supporting Eclipse Golf as our Business Support & Development Manager. Michael designed and founded my-pro and is currently working on fully integrating this platform into the Eclipse Golf website in an exclusive arrangement. You may read more about Michael’s career on our new website.

In conclusion, I believe these changes at Eclipse Golf will help us strengthen our position and allow us to continue to offer you a development experience above and beyond the mainstream retail market. Thank you for your time and I hope to see you soon.

Trust - it’s a big thing isn’t it. Trust in your ability trust in your clubs, trust in the advice you were given. Our sessions have always been longer than most so you get the time to absorb, try things out, really understand the advice and trust it. Having said that we are introducing some shorter sessions options when we launch our new website-if you trust us to advise you on your equipment these might be perfect for you!
