Walkers2Runners is a small, friendly group in the Hawkhurst area for women and men who want to improve their fitness whilst meeting others and having fun. Do as little or as much as you wish to develop your fitness, starting slowly and building up at your own pace.

Kids gone back to school? Now’s the time for you to get back to (or start!) running! Come and ‘find your tribe’ with walkers2runners, our fun, friendly social running group based in Hawkhurst (The Moor) and Bedgebury.
Our ‘Zero-to-30’ (minutes of running) starts next Thursday 10th September 6.30pm at the KGV Sportsfield, Hawkhurst.

Hurrah for our ‘graduate’! Lovely Amy battled through the long hot summer and was rewarded with a cool day to complete her 30mins-non-stop and become a ‘Zero-to-30 Finisher!’ Well done Amy and welcome to the Tuesday gang!

A Fun Run like no other! It was an honour and a privilege to be part of the CSC/MND Charity Fun Run today! We joined over 680 others and the rugby and ultra-marathon fundraising legend Sir Kevin Sinfield in a huge community effort to raise funds for MND Association. Together we ran, marshalled, handed out water and helped organise an event which brought together the running and rugby communities! What a fabulous event -
And it rained!!!! 🥳💦💪

We had a great run this morning in Ticehurst on an undulating ‘lollipop’ down to Bewl, organised by the fab team at 1066 Trail Races. We all managed to keep going on the hills and Frances took home the prize for First Lady!
Last week our super parkrun UK tourist Kay travelled north to Fountains Abbey, and met Vicky, a former W2R member and fellow ticker-offer of parkruns around the UK. We love the parkrun community! 🧡

Another fun session in our favourite-place-to-train-on-a-Friday-morning: Bedgebury Pinetum - Forestry England. We discovered the ‘puzzle frame’ on an adjoining trail (a workout for another day?!), then celebrated our birthday not-quite-twins Anne and Melissa with coffee and cake in the café! Love a ‘storyboard’! And this one reveals the surprise of two of our lovely runners as they reached milestones… Amy celebrated 100 and, following a break from running, is close to completing the 0-30 (re)intro course! Lovely Sue was part of the Lockdown cohort and has gone onto be a regular ‘Tuesday girl’, running her 300th EP yesterday. Well done super girls!!! 🏅🏅

So much to celebrate over the past couple of weeks! A Significant Birthday for our gorgeous Elaine; milestones for Sheila (100) and Glenda (200); ‘new’ grandparents (separately!) Steve and Sheila, plus our amazing running-girl Sara who ran The Serpent 20km Ultra, fabulous Julie who completed the Bewl 15 (well done to Lisa and Sharon who ran the 5); Suzi and Nic parkrunning in pink, and blue-sky evening runs through the corn (or is it wheat… or barley?!). Summer Running … having a blast!
