Oxford Sunnyside Fc Oxford Sunnyside F.C. Oxford Sunnyside FC ( formerly Oxford United ) was founded in the 1960's and currently play at Knockramer Park in Silverwood.

In the 80's and 90's Oxford were a dominant force in mid ulster football in Division 1 and were very successful on the pitch with 6 Junior cup wins and were the first mid ulster team to win the
Bob Radcliffe cup in 1988. Our Senior mens team currently plays in the NIFL Premier Intermediate League. In 2011 Oxford Utd amalgamated its name with the junior Section of the club Sunnyside FC with all te

ams now called Oxford Sunnyside FC. It's a move we feel will strengthen our identity as a club. Our youth system is a major part of our club and we want our young players to strive to play for Oxford Sunnyside FC at senior level.

A massive congratulations to our U12 boys on winning the Champions of Champions Cup.

The Lisburn Castlereagh Junior League Premiership winners went head-to-head with the Mid Ulster Youth League Cup winners, Banbridge Town, and secured a fantastic 3-0 victory. A tremendous achievement ๐Ÿ’ช๐Ÿ’ช๐Ÿ’ชโšช๏ธ๐Ÿ”ด

Match Report

Friday night saw the league champions take on Banbridge Town in the Champions of Champions Cup Final at Annagh United. The lads qualified for the tournament after winning the league and were matched against the Mid Ulster Youth League Cup winners.

The opening 15 minutes were evenly contested, with both sides searching for the breakthrough. It was the Oxford lads who struck first when a superb corner from Cormac caused confusion in the box, allowing Adam to react quickest and steer his shot beyond the keeper to make it 1-0.

Shortly afterwards, Banbridge pushed for an equaliser, but the defence and midfield worked tirelessly to limit their chances and ensure the lads took their lead into half-time.

The second half saw Oxford move up through the gears, getting the ball down and playing some excellent football. Dara and Ethan produced some clever passes out wide to the full-backs, while Freddie repeatedly broke forward, showing tremendous pace and energy down the wing.

After some excellent work in midfield, the Dynamos doubled their advantage when Dara latched onto a ball inside the area and finished confidently to make it 2-0.

Continued hard work and dominance in midfield allowed the lads to control the closing stages of the game. A familiar league-winning combination sealed the victory as another corner from Cormac found Freddie making a run into the area. He calmly tucked away his chance to make it 3-0 and secure the double for this fantastic group of players!

Player of the Match was awarded to Dara, who once again demonstrated the strength ,determination and relentless work rate he brings to every game. This season, he has added goals to all that hard work, scoring 20 times from midfield. Well done, Dara ๐Ÿ’ช๐Ÿ‘

The lads have been exceptional throughout the season, particularly since the turn of the year, finishing with an outstanding record of 13 wins from 14 matches.

Great effort, lads, and keep it up as we head into the new season.

Now our attention turns to the summer, with a couple of tournaments to look forward to as we prepare the squad for 11-a-side football next season.
