💛 World Su***de Prevention Day 💛

Today, Tullylish GAC stands with every family, friend, teammate and member of our community who has been affected by su***de.
As a club, we know that community is about much more than football. It is about noticing when someone is struggling, checking in, listening without judgement and making sure people know they do not have to face difficult times alone.
We remember those we have lost, and we hold their families and loved ones close in our thoughts today.

We are also proud to stand alongside Changing Lives NI a local mental health charity working within our community to provide a safe place for people to talk, be heard and find support.
Sometimes one conversation can make a real difference.

Please check in on someone today.

We know there are many talented young people who could represent our club on stage.

Our final prize winners for the Movember Ahead of the Game program monthly prize giveaway for Phase 3, is Tullylish GAC, County Down. Pictured below is our facilitator Oisin MacManus, Healthy Clubs Officer Shauna Corbett and Club male Coach and club’s player participants.

Over the past few years, Tullylish GAC has proudly hosted three Movember Ahead of the Game workshops for their U14 boys’ and girls’ teams, “creating opportunities for players, parents and coaches to learn, connect and have important conversations about mental health.”

The club shared how “the workshops have helped young people recognise when they or a teammate might need support, understand where to seek help, and build the mental fitness needed to navigate the challenges of sport and life.”
Following on to say, “Hearing facilitators share their own experiences created a safe space for honest conversations, helping to normalise asking for support just as you would for a physical injury.”

As well as that, Shauna Corbett, HCO has said “It is difficult to fully measure how important this training is and what a difference it can make. I would encourage every club to facilitate this training.”
