🦄 Youth Dressage Training Series 🦄

Still time to get involved with our league with fantastic coaches and prizes. Next date is 22nd Jan 2023 at Gransha Equestrian Centre.

Payments for Week 4 are now due - Tests for the fourth date are:

Payments for the third date will be due on or before 11th Dec 2022 - You can also secure your place for the full league then by paying for all lessons
Youth Dressage Training Series
🐴 The series will run monthly from October to March
🐴 Each day will consist of a 30 min private session (or you can opt to do it as a pair) with one of our fabulous coaches following which you will move across to ride a dressage test which will be judged and marked. The judge will then give you feedback on your test and go through some things which will help to improve your marks
🐴 The coach in the lesson will score you out of ten on your position, effectiveness and trainability giving you a total score out of 30
🐴 Your marks from the coach will then be combined with your score for your dressage test giving you a total score for the day, these scores will be added with your next scores in subsequent days to be eligible for league prizes
🐴 The series will consist of six training days; you must take part in at least four days to be eligible for the league prizes and the winners will be based on the best four of your scores over the series duration
🐴 There will also be prizes for the most improved in each category and some extra awards will be added
🐴 The categories are as follows, Intro (walk/trot), Prelim, Novice, Elementary and Open (medium level and above). If any categories are oversubscribed they will be split on an age basis.
🐴 Training is open to all riders age 6-25 and will be open to all levels and abilities
🐴 Make sure to enter the class that is equivalent to the level that you compete at to make it fair to everyone
🐴 Spaces are limited and will be allocated on a first come first served basis. All slots will need to be prepaid at the time of booking.

🦄 20th November -Haganscroft Equestrian Centre

Judge - Joanne Jarden
🦄 18th December -Cancelled due to freezing conditions

❄️❄️❄️ Dec Youth Training Update ❄️❄️❄️

Given the continued cold weather I think we will have to postpone the training scheduled for this Sunday until our next date at Gransha EC in Jan. Whilst it looks like it may we thaw on Sunday it is unlikely that it will be thawed in time for us to start.

I will get working on Feb and March dates and venues

Hi all

I’m keeping an eye on the weather as it’s looking increasingly likely we may have to postpone the youth dressage this weekend until the next date in Jan 2023. I will keep an eye on the weather over the next few days and see how things go.
