MATCH REPORT:

COXHOE UNBELIEVABLE IN BRILLIANT 7-1 VICTORY! ⚽🔥

Coxhoe came flying out of the blocks with a great attacking start to the match, putting the opposition under pressure right from the first whistle.

The defence was just as impressive early on, with James leading by example and flying into some strong tackles to keep things tight at the back. Oliver Tate pulled off an unbelievable slide tackle — surprise surprise! 😄

Goals Start Flowing

The breakthrough came soon enough as Jacob made it 1–0 with a well-taken finish.
Coxhoe kept pushing forward, with Charlie causing problems down the wing and delivering a brilliant ball into the box.

The second goal was a real highlight — a screamer volley from West to make it 2–0!

Not long after, Jacob grabbed his second for 3–0, showing great composure as the keeper came rushing out. Jacob calmly went around him and buried it in the net.
At the other end, Louis made a fantastic save to keep Coxhoe firmly in control.

Just before half-time, Jacky Bilton added a beauty with his left foot — an unbelievable finish from the centre half to make it 4–0.

Second Half Action

The opposition came out fighting after the break, and Louis was called into action again with another great save.
They did manage to pull one back with a world-class free kick over the wall, making it 4–1 — and suddenly the question was asked: could they mount a comeback?
But Coxhoe weren’t having any of it.
Max Tate was outstanding in midfield, showing real skill and sending players “on their bike” several times with brilliant turns and passes.
Coxhoe Turn On the Style

The fifth goal came from Alfie, who scored a fantastic left-footed free kick through the defence and into the net — a brilliant debut goal to make it 5–1.

Then came another moment to remember: a West corner swung in perfectly, and Ashton smashed home a powerful header for his first goal — 6–1!

Jacob completed a stunning performance with another lovely strike into the bottom corner to make it 7–1.

Max Strong continued to shine, even delivering a strong cross that Alfie nearly converted again, only for the keeper to make the save.

Full-Time

The team played their socks off today and fully deserved the win. A brilliant all-round performance full of goals, teamwork, strong defending, and some unforgettable moments.
Well done lads — what a result! 👏⚽

MATCH REPORT:

Coxhoe U11s vs. Coxhoe U12s

Today we took on a tough challenge, playing a year up against the Coxhoe lads in a friendly to test out next year's new home ground.
The drama started before kick-off, with Greg and Craig nearly going a*se over t*t on the way to the field 🥿! Once we arrived, it was clear the groundskeeper had taken the week off; the grass was so long we weren't sure if Reuben was going to see where he was going.

The game started with West flying down the wing for the U11s, putting in a great ball but we couldn't find the back of the net. The U12s retaliated quickly on the counter, but the Blues fought hard with West, Oscar, and Jacob in hot pursuit. James kept us in the game with a massive tackle to halt a dangerous attack, while Oliver Tate put in three cracking sliding tackles in the space of five minutes—his kit is going to need the full bottle of Vanish! John did his usual disappearing act, hopefully watching the highlights from his VIP parking spot🌡. Jack warmed into the game nicely, winning his duels and playing the ball off well.

Half Time: 0-0 (The lads didn't look out of their depth at all!)

The U12s started the second half with intent, going 1-0 up immediately.
Max Strong putting a shift in, chasing down every ball.
West attacked the wing again, crossing for Jacob to equalize, but their keeper stops us. Louis made another great save to keep us in it, and Jack showed his bravery by stopping a goal-bound shot with his noggin... ouch!
Eventually, the U12s played a great ball through the middle to finish it off 0-2. Ashton made some good passes and looking confident on the ball today.
The boys kept fighting until the end, and despite the loss, it was a great effort and a pleasure to watch. Lovely football played in spells—onwards and upwards.

Raising funds to go towards the running costs of the team, Tournaments, Pitch fee's, Referees, general costs balls, kit etc...
A bit of fun and a chance to win a little bit of money 💰
Open to anyone, parents, family, friends the more the merrier, a what's app group is set up for team picks and regular updates, rules set out below...

Game Rules
£10 per person entry fee for the whole competition.
You pick a team from the round of english premier league fixtures, if your pick wins you progress to the next round, if they lose or draw you're out.
You can only pick any team once.
All teams must be picked by 7pm on the Friday before the start of the weeks fixtures.
If you don't pick a team you're automatically out.
This continues until we have a winner, HALF OF THE POT GOES TO THE TEAM, HALF TO THE WINNER.
NO SPLITTING! is permitted in the event of 2 players being in the last round, if everyone is eliminated the pot rolls over for the original player's for an additional £10 entry inorder to buy back in, hence the prize pot increases.

"Couldn’t be any prouder of all them boys! Superb effort and performance in absolutely horrendous conditions, pouring rain, strong winds and bloody freezing!!

We dominated in large spells playing some lovely football, game ended 2-0 to them but we gave them one hell of a game👏👏"

“Awful conditions for all the lads but worse for the goalkeepers with rain blasting in their faces and cold conditions as the don’t run around as much as the rest so he did brilliantly to keep warm and concentrating”

MATCH REPORT 📝

COXHOE BLUES PLAY AWAY TO VELOCITY, HOPING FOR A REPEAT PERFORMANCE THEY PUT IN DURING THEIR LAST MEETING.

The Blues start off attacking at will! West plays the ball into Jacob.... he makes sure this one goes in by smashing it into the back of the net!

West puts a great cross into the box, it falls to the right person,Jacob..... Goal! Only to be deemed offside....

West causing havoc for the opposition today, he lays the ball off for Oliver H to get his goal after a long lay off through Injury! Great to have this lad back in the team.

Coxhoe on fire today, Oscar nets a trademark long ranger!

Velocity tries to get back in the game, attacking our box. James and Jack end up wiped out on the floor, still don't know happened!

The opposition continues to attack and win a corner. The corner comes in, only for Jacky Bilton to header clear.

Oscar runs with the ball, plays a worldy through ball for West, who smashes it at goal, unfortunately there keeper pulls off great save to denie him!

Velocity on the hunt, play some lovely football to get round our defence and score just before half time.

2ND HALF

The home team started off the half as they finished the first, with a shot at goal, only for Louis to keep it out!

Jack goes down just outside our box and looks in pain, Louis comes over to console him. Appreciation to Louis because he never hesitates to step up and support a player when they are hurt.

Rue holds up the ball on the wing and shows his skill to get past the player, then releases for a great pass.

Velocity with a double attack, each time James has had them in his back pocket! He continues to be solid at the back for us.

West has tortured their defence with his relentless pace today! He certainly has earned his MOTD award 🏆

Oscar also gets MOTD from the opposition coach ⚽️🏆

Match Report: Hard Luck Loss as Chances Go Unconverted

The squad looked sharp and ready to go today, drawing on last season's strong performances against this tough opposition. However, despite clear effort, the result didn't go our way this time.

First Half:

The game started on a tricky note as we conceded within the first 5 minutes, putting us on the back foot immediately.

The team responded well, though, especially down the flanks. West was in fine form, using his pace to create trouble, earning an early corner that the defence cleared. The midfield was competitive; Jack executed a strong, well-timed tackle to break up an attack, and James also put in a fantastic challenge to regain possession.

West continued to be the main attacking outlet. He delivered a cracking cross that fell perfectly for Jacob, but sadly, the header from point-blank range went over—a moment that really stung! Oscar tried to thread a nice ball through, but the defence reacted first.

West’s individual skill was a highlight; he showed lovely footwork before unleashing a shot that just skewed wide.

Max Tate was solid, winning a great tackle and moving the ball forward nicely. Max Strong had a very effective first half, breaking up play and linking passes before coming off for a breather. Right before the whistle, Louis pulled off a crucial save to keep the deficit manageable heading into the break. We felt the first-half performance deserved better than the scoreline suggested.

Second Half: The Game Slips Away

Louis started the second half sharp with another great stop, keeping the pressure on.
However, the momentum swung further when The Blues conceded again about 10 minutes in. We searched for a way back; a great pass from Rue to West sparked an attack down the wing, but it didn't convert into a clear opportunity.

The final blow came when Coxhoe conceded again, making the task incredibly difficult. Even Oscar’s ambitious long-range pop—hoping to use the wind—couldn't find the target.

Final Thoughts

Coxhoe went home defeated. While we showed good football in spells, we were ultimately outscored by the better team today. The key takeaway is the need to convert those major chances we create.

Charlie West earns Man of the Match. His relentless attacking threat down the wing was superb and deserved more reward!

Next week we switch focus to Velocity away. Let's regroup and go again! Up the Blues!
