!! TIGERS !!
What an eventful day for our U17s... the girls were all ready for their last game of the season when a mishap with the bookings meant their match with Braes was cancelled!
Coach Morna was on a mission not to let the girls down so managed to get some court time and by luck some friendly matches with the ladies from WCW,
and a mix of all stars!! Thanks so much!!

In game one, the girls played quickly and used some forced passes, which led to a few turnovers and some footwork calls. However, the mid-courters worked well together to move the ball down the court and into the circle, where the shooters had opportunities to take shots. A strong level of teamwork was shown throughout the game, with players supporting their teammates and maintaining a positive attitude.
In the second game, the girls had found their feet and started to slow down and take their time. This allowed them to gain confidence and move the ball down the court without running into the same spaces. Our shooters continued to show excellent movement, working together in the circle to create some great scoring opportunities. The circle defenders also worked well together, fighting for rebounds and helping the team maintain possession of the ball.
In the third game, players tested different combinations and positions on the court, allowing the defence to show off their talent in the circle and score some amazing shots. This gave us an opportunity to gain valuable experience for future games. These changes were implemented well and demonstrated how resilient the team was despite any challenges on the court.
In the final match, players started to get tired, which led to some footwork mistakes and turnovers when under pressure from the defence. Despite this, the team continued to show great effort and communication throughout the game, working hard to move the ball effectively down the court and maintain control.
Although there was a switch-up, all the girls were determined to play and gave it their best shot against the Social Ladies this morning. Thank you to the other teams for giving the girls some amazing game time!
