A FULL CIRCLE MOMENT 🥊🇹🇭🥊🇹🇭

Yesterday felt almost unreal, it was amazing 🙌🏼

Returning to Yokkao beneath those same lights but this time as a Coach, took me back to 2013, when I fought on Yokkao.

Back then, I carried my own dreams, pressure and expectations. Yesterday, I carried something greater, the dreams of my team.

Watching my students step onto one of the biggest stages in Muay Thai, knowing the sacrifices they’ve made, the hours they’ve put in and the obstacles they’ve overcome, was one of the most powerful experiences of my journey.

The opportunity I was once given became one I could pass on to my students.

I’m deeply grateful to the entire Hitman/YOKKAO team for giving us this opportunity.

To my team, I couldn’t be prouder of every one of you. It’s an honour to guide you, believe in you and stand beside you as you chase your dreams.

Words genuinely cannot describe how proud I am of Clint, Toby & Nikita. ❤️🙏🏼

Tonight was about courage, sacrifice, heart and belief. All three stepped onto one of Muay Thai’s biggest stages and represented themselves, their families and our team with everything they had.

Clint competed in only his third fight and delivered a solid performance, including a strong Round 2. We needed more in Round 3 to get the win, but he gained valuable experience at an incredible level. Your journey has only just begun, brother, I couldn’t be prouder. ❤️🥊

Toby accepted this fight on just two weeks’ notice and stepped up fearlessly. He landed beautiful body kicks and powerful knees, and in my opinion, did enough to win the fight before being caught by a devastating knee in Round 3. Regardless of the result, you showed incredible heart and proved what you’re capable of. Unbelievably proud of you. ❤️

Nikita was focused, determined and fearless from the opening bell. He attacked the body with beautiful combinations, showed composure and aggression, and got the job done. Congratulations on your victory, Nikita, you earned every second of it! 👏🏼👏🏼👏🏼

A huge thank you to Mason, Harry, Irma & Zishan for everything you contributed throughout camp and in the corners. This is what a team is🙏🏼🙌🏼

Some moments in life seem ordinary when they happen… until years later, you look back and realise that was the moment everything changed. 🌱

I’m incredibly proud of Raj, Manny, the entire Story & Motion team, and everyone at Gracie Barra for bringing this incredible project to life. 👏🏼❤️

On 28th September 2021, during the early days of our podcast, we filmed our second conversation with Professor Braulio Estima.

During that podcast, Professor Braulio spoke about planting seeds, how every tree starts with a single seed, how we are all connected through its roots, and how beautifully that analogy represents Jiu Jitsu, our community, our relationships and the legacy we leave behind 🔺

What we didn’t realise at the time was that another seed was being planted that day💙

A seed that would eventually grow into the telling of Professor Braulio’s story🙌🏼

Five years later, seeing that idea become a reality is genuinely emotional🙏🏼🙏🏼🙏🏼

It’s a reminder that sometimes we plant seeds without knowing where they will lead. We nurture them, we believe in them, and eventually, with time, hard work and the right people around us, they begin to grow.

Professor Braulio, your journey is more than just a story about Jiu Jitsu.

It’s a story of sacrifice, resilience, brotherhood, family, belief and legacy.

You have inspired generations through your journey, and I know this story will inspire generations to come.

I’m incredibly proud that we were there when the seed was first planted, and even prouder to see Raj, Manny and the Story & Motion team bring it to life in such a powerful way.

To everyone involved, thank you for keeping the vision alive.
