Latin social nights. Our ethos has always been simple: learning should be fun, friendly, and pressure‑free.

Superbsalsa was founded 13 years ago by Andy Barker, who has been immersed in dance for most of his life. Before discovering Cuban Salsa over 23 years ago, Andy trained in and explored a variety of dance styles during his earlier years, and he has continued to be involved in musical theatre for the majority of his life. His lifelong passion for performance and movement naturally shaped the vibrant

teaching style Superbsalsa is known for today. Andy has shared his love of dance across the UK, guest‑teaching at venues nationwide and supporting theatre productions, charity events, and dance teams. Together with the dedicated Superbsalsa team, Andy teaches Salsa, Bachata, and Rueda to dancers of all levels — from complete beginners to advanced movers. To keep things flexible, we offer pay‑as‑you‑go classes for anyone who can’t commit weekly. After every class, we keep the energy high with a Latin party night, featuring a vibrant mix of classic and modern Latin music — the perfect fiesta atmosphere! Superbsalsa is also proud to support our main chosen charity, Children Change Colombia, a fantastic organisation dedicated to protecting and empowering vulnerable children across Colombia. Superbsalsa is delighted to be based at The Yard, Coventry — one of the city’s most vibrant and iconic hotspots. The Yard regularly hosts a variety of events throughout the year and offers a fantastic selection of food and drinks. Whether you’re taking your first steps or building your skills, you’ll always find great music, great people, and a warm welcome at Superbsalsa. Times/Prices/Concessions:

Son sits at the heart of the Latin dance family. It’s one of the original partner dances that helped shape what we now know and love as Cuban Salsa — and it shares musical roots with Bachata too. If you dance Salsa or Bachata, you’re already part of the same rich tradition.
Elegant, grounded, and full of musicality, Son focuses on smooth partner connection, subtle footwork, and authentic Cuban flavour. It’s playful, sophisticated, and a fantastic way to deepen your understanding of timing and flow on the dance floor.
