We’ve had a report come in to us of a dog becoming sick in the evening yesterday (diarrhoea) after attending the Spencer Park Dog Show. Probably a coincident, but we know how dogs like to ‘say’ hello, so we wanted to let you know. Keep a special eye on your beloved hounds and let’s hope it’s an isolated case. 🤞

Thanks you to everyone for joining us today for our Fun Dog Show in Spencer Park. Lots of well-behaved dogs in the park today and twelve worthy category winners (more details to follow), but today was Rosie and the Boulton family’s day as Rosie triumphed and was award Best in Show for 2026. Well done Rosie, Sophie and Matthew. 👏👏👏

Remember, Spencer Park’s Fun Dog Show isn’t all about four-legged dogs - it’s also a time to sample one of our delicious HOT DOGS (and bacon butties). So, to tempt you to get here in good time to enter your Best Male Dog entries (judged at 12.30 sharp), we will be serving hot dogs (pork or veggie) and bacon butties from 11am. The community café will also be open serving sandwiches, panini and hot and cold drinks.

If you would like a stall at our Fun Dog Show this coming Sunday, this week is your last chance to secure a pitch.😊 The event runs from 12-4pm, and we ask for you to be set up by 11am. Cost of a pitch is only £10, so if you're an artist, a crafter/maker selling card and gifts or a face painter, we'd like to hear from you. If you're a registered charity the pitch is free. You will need to bring your set-up with you (gazebo, table, chairs, etc) as the park has limited resources. We hope to hear from you soon. 👍

Pre-registration of your prized pooches isn't required, but we thought you would like to see the running order, so you can plan your day. Judging starts with Best Male Dog at 12.30pm, so join us before then to register if you would like to enter the first category. ... See you on Sunday! 🐕🐕‍🦺🐩
