Our Facilities:
The tennis courts have recently undergone a refurbishment costing in the excess of £225,000 in the centre of the park. This includes resurfacing the 8 full size courts and 2 mini-courts, brand new fencing, and flood lights to 4 of the clubs courts, making this an all year round facility. Next to the next courts is a newly refurbished café, bowling green and an exciting new adventur
e playing facility for children. These park facilities will enable tennis members and their families to be in a fun and safe environment. Our Aim:
The tennis club's aim is to offer affordable tennis for all community members. This will give our members a chance to meet, and play alongside others with similar interests. With free access to courts included in the membership, you can improve your tennis game in a friendly and sociable environment. The tennis club is a constituted club with elected committee members. The War Memorial Park is a Lawn Tennis Association Clubmark accreditated club which ensures:
•The operates in a safe, effective and child friendly environment.
•The club has a fair and transparent operational structure
•The club adheres to best practice policies and procedures around safeguarding Junior and Adult members
•The club delivers a comprehensive and all-encompassing tennis programme for all ages and abilities
•Produce a clear plan of action for long term sustainability and future growth
