Formally known as Orchard Athletic F.C, the newly formed AFC Coventry are a Coventry & Warwickshire based Amateur Football Club looking to achieve success the right way, operating all year round as an outfit very much in the mix at the league level and hugely successful in such a short space of time at tournament level. The difference with 'our' club is we are a private and independent outfit curr

ently self-funded where all of the major decisions are made not by a committee or council of any kind but by YOU, the Players hence we call our self 'The Players Club'. In fact, the Club was founded in 2012 by Two of the original Players on the Books, Mr Padda and Mr Sandhu of Exhall and Coventry, respectively both Chairmen continue running the outfit with the above ethos in mind and with the ambition to take the outfit onto a bigger and better stage. The decision to allow players to vote for how they want the club to operate was made to limit the chance of any politics or any obligation to a committee or hierarchy, which often in many outfits don't see what is going on at grassroots level. The Club, in its initial season, started out in the Coventry & District Sunday League Division Senior 4. After several promotions over the years and the hunger for greater competition, and with the ambitions to enter the Midlands Football League, the Club now plays in The Coventry Saturday Alliance - Divison 1.

The feedback from yesterday’s memorial tournament has been overwhelming, and we couldn’t be more grateful.

Thank you to every player, volunteer, sponsor, supporter and family member who came together to make the day so special. It was incredible to see the football community unite to celebrate Satty’s life and legacy on what would have been his 40th birthday.

The positive comments, smiles and memories shared remind us exactly why we do this. We hope everyone had a fantastic day, and we’re already looking forward to making next year’s event even bigger and better.

This weekend would have marked Satty's 40th birthday. While he is no longer with us, his legacy continues to inspire everyone who had the privilege of knowing him.

The Satty Sandhu Memorial Tournament 2026 is more than just football—it’s a celebration of Satty’s life, his passion for the game, and the incredible impact he had on our community. Bringing together players, families, friends, and supporters, the day is about creating memories, enjoying football, and celebrating the values Satty lived by: unity, kindness, and bringing people together.

Join us on Saturday 25th July at Butts Park Arena for a day of football, family fun, entertainment, food, inflatable games, and much more. Entry is FREE for everyone, so come along, show your support, and help us honour a truly special person who will never be forgotten.

PRE SEASON FRIENDLY: AFC COVENTRY 6 - 2 FOLLY LANE

A fantastic start to pre-season for AFC Coventry as we kicked things off with a convincing 6-2 victory over a strong Folly Lane side. The match gave several new signings the opportunity to make their debuts, and they all settled in brilliantly, showing great quality, energy, and commitment throughout. Despite facing tough opposition, the team played with intensity, moved the ball well, and created plenty of chances, making it a positive first outing. A great performance to build on as preparations continue for the new season. Up The Lions! 🦁❤️

We’ve been quiet for a few weeks — and for good reason. After the season we’ve just had, we figured we’d earned a minute to switch off, enjoy it, and let it all sink in. 🏆

Because what a season it was. League winners. League Cup winners. Club of the Year. Golden Boot. Most goals scored. Least goals conceded. Most clean sheets. Every honour there was to win, this group won it.

Rest done. Now it’s time to lock in and start planning for the season ahead — preseason’s just around the corner, and we want to come back even stronger.

One game at a time, three points a weekend. Here we go again. 👊
