A quick ‘Before’ picture before I go into full on ‘Carnivore Mode’ for the next 3 weeks!
Weight: 92kg
Waist: 90cm
Here’s the deal….
As you’ll know if you follow my content.
I completely eliminated refined sugars, refined carbohydrates, and industrialised seed oils from my diet about 3 years ago now - and the results were amazing.
I’d never felt better - physically or mentally - in my life!
So.
I then began following a more primal/paleo nutritional lifestyle - and felt even better.
I progressed to Keto - and felt even better still!
So.
I thought to myself.
Is it possible to feel EVEN BETTER than this?
So.
I read up on two different trains of thought that were supposed to be a progression from Keto.
1. The Animal Based Diet.
2. The Carnivore Diet.
Now.
BOTH of these lifestyles involve completely removing vegetables from the diet (don’t forget - plants are trying to kill you!)
However.
On the Animal Based Diet.
You eat meat, complimented with NATURAL (NOT REFINED) carbohydrates in the form of fruit and honey.
You also consume raw milk and kefir to maintain good gut health.
That sounded good.
So, I gave it a try for 1 week.
It wasn’t for me.
1. It took me out of Ketosis, and so my energy and cognitive function dropped off slightly.
2. Eating the sweet fruits made me crave more, and I was in danger of overeating (it’s perfectly possible to get fat on fruit!).
3. I was worried that the cravings for more fruit would have eventually led to cravings for chocolate and sweets!
Now.
You could argue that I should have stuck at it for longer.
But I’m pretty tuned in with my body by now and just knew it wasn’t for me.
So.
That left me with the infamous ‘Carnivore Diet’!
Now.
There are various different versions of this around.
However.
Me being me.
I’ve decide to try out the most extreme version:
1. Meat.
2. Eggs.
3. Water.
That’s it.
That’s literally all you can eat.
No cheese, no cream, no berries, no coffee, no red wine - no f**k all!
You can consume absolutely NOTHING except meat, eggs and water!
So.
My plan is to test this up until I go on holiday on 10th September.
If it becomes apparent that it’s not for me before then - I’ll sack it off and go back to regular Keto.
But.
I’ll be interested to see what happens if I can stick with this for the next 21 days!
Anyway.
Day 1 is almost over.
I’m feeling energised, clear headed and, most importantly, NOT hungry!
So watch this space,
I’ll keep you all updated on my progress! 👊👊👊
