Patient, friendly, experienced female driving instructor. TERMS & CONDITIONS
Terms and conditions are in place to refer back to should there be any problems during the course of your driver training. The following terms represent the basis upon which driver training is offered to you by Judith’s School of Motoring. Using these services assumes agreement to these terms and conditions. INSTRUCTOR
QUALIFICATIONS: I have been An active fully qualified ADI (Approved Driving Instructor) since 2005. This involved extensive training, passing the instructors theory test, the instructors practical test, the test of ability to instruct and a Criminal Record Bureau check, plus ongoing regular standards checks by the DVSA. LESSONS: In order for driver training to be effective there needs to be commitment to the process by the client, i.e. regular lessons (at least once a week until the theory test has been achieved and then possibly more often in the lead up to the practical test), and a responsible, safe attitude to driving in particular. They length of driving lessons is usually: first lesson two hours then either one and a half or two hours as required. The client will need to show their provisional (or fill if refresher lessons) driving licence at the start of the first lesson and if requested provide the code to allow access to their online driving record. You must be able to read a vehicle number plate from the required distance of 20.5 metres, with glasses/contact lenses if necessary. Please wear sensible shoes (trainers or shoes with thin flat soles are best) and clothing that is comfortable and unrestrictive for lessons. PUNCTUALITY: I will wait at the agreed location at the start of the lesson for a maximum of 15 minutes before abandoning the whole lesson with the result of full payment being due. I ask that the same 15 minutes be afforded for myself in the event of an unforeseen delay. This time would be made up at the end of the lesson or on a future lesson. If a longer delay is looking imminent, (for example in the event of a problem with the vehicle) I reserve the right to rearrange the lesson to a mutually convenient time and will let you know at the earliest opportunity. This is a very rare occurrence. CANCELLATION/REARRANGEMENT OF LESSONS: A notice of at least 24 hours is requested for cancellations and rearrangements otherwise part or full payment may be required. This is in order to protect my income as the cancelled slot would be difficult to fill at short notice. If cancellations become a regular occurrence without good reason I may not be able to guarantee future slots for the client. DRIVING TEST: The driving test will normally be booked by the client. This can be arranged only when we are both in agreement that the client is test ready and after consultation with myself about potential dates and times. If the test is booked without consultation or the advised number of training hours are not met then I reserve the right to withhold the use of the vehicle for test purposes. As with any test a pass cannot be guaranteed, I will advise you as to when you are capable of passing but it is down to you and how you perform during the test. After passing the driving test you should keep up the same required standard of driving for as long as you continue to drive. As soon as the test date/time is confirmed by the DVSA I ask that I be immediately notified and emailed a copy of confirmation so I can plan my diary around that. Please be informed that the payment to the DVSA for the test does not cover the use of my vehicle and time for the test, you will need to allow payment for 2 hours for the use of the vehicle for test purposes. Occasionally planned tests are cancelled by the DVSA for example: bad weather, examiner illness. This is unfortunate but out of my control. In this instance the DVSA will inform you as soon as possible and rearrange the test for you. COMPLAINTS: Any complaints or problems should in the first instance be brought to my attention and hopefully resolved quickly and agreeably. This does not affect your statutory rights.
