O&W U14s match report - 24/05

Well done today Girls!! 5-0 win at home to Desford.

The game started off pretty even with Harloe playing superbly to stop their attack on several occasions. Goals from Isla from a great piece of play, and then Jess direct from the corner for the 2nd gave us a 2-0 lead before half time.

Was really hot today which took its toll on some of the girls but ours never gave up and even with Desford trying everything to get back into the match.

Strong attacking from Ruby, G, Isla, Paige and Jess was consistent throughout the game.

Our girls came out on top of the majority of battles throughout and adapted to more of a counter attack game in the second half as Desford switched to a front four.

Defenders and midfielders stood firm and worked tirelessly to win the ball and push forward, creating chances for our forwards. Three great second half goals from G and Isla (2) to see them off comfortably and leap frog them in the table!

Well done girls!

POM goes to Harloe for her unwavering determination and performance at the back.

Well done also to Isla for her hat trick!
