2nd game of the season and the 1st
home game for the u10s as we hosted Epworth Forest Lionesses U10s

The game started at a good pace on a slippy pitch, with Oadby & Wigston getting stuck in right from the off. Tackles flying in from both teams but it was Oadby & Wigston who were causing alot of problems for the Epworth side as they were camped in their half for the majority of the 1st half.
Some fantastic set pieces from the Oadby & Wigston girls that were a real joy to watch with the deliveries put right into the danger zone.

The 2nd half started and once again Oadby & Wigston just carried on how they left the 1st half, on the front foot, causing so many problems for Epworth.
Alot of changes made by Oadby & Wigston, players swapping positions, but that didn't change the way the girls played. Every single girl gave 100% and it was a fantastic game for the team.

O&W U15s Match Report - 13/09/26

🏠⚽ What a first home game! ⚽🏠

Today saw us play our first home game of the season against Barwell, with Jess Eales leading the girls out. 💙

The girls started really strongly, combining their passes brilliantly, creating lots of chances and showing just how much progress they have made over the last few weeks. It is amazing to see the development in this team, and I couldn’t be prouder of them. 👏

Every single player did their job and went above and beyond. I could write forever about each individual performance, but I think you all witnessed what was a fantastic team performance today. The girls rotated positions, passed the ball well, communicated brilliantly and finished their chances.

⭐ Players of the Match ⭐

Isobel Wade 🏆
Probably one of the best performances Isobel has produced. She played in a new position and I genuinely can’t think of one time the ball got past her! Her positioning was fantastic, and when she knew she couldn’t outrun an opponent, she put her body in front of the ball — something we have been working on — and she did it superbly. A brilliant performance, Isobel! 👏

Katie Kirkpatrick 🏆
A defender’s role can sometimes be overlooked, especially in a game where we dominated possession, but Katie was a vital part of that performance. She read the balls played behind the midfield, dealt with them brilliantly and cleared her lines when needed. Her communication, positioning and leadership were excellent.

At corners, she used her arms and body intelligently to get in front of her player and keep them out of dangerous areas — all those little things that can go unnoticed but make such a huge difference. Katie was a real leader today and put in a fantastic overall performance. 💪

As I’ve said, I could go on and on about every single player today, but you would all get bored reading it! 😂

You all witnessed a fantastic performance from every player, and every single one of you should be incredibly proud.

Match day Report - O&W U14s 13/09/26

First home game of the season vs Rugby Town and what a performance from the girls today! 💪🏼 A real pick me up that they needed!

From the start, the girls came out on the front foot, passing and moving and just dominating the play. Niamh got us off to a flying start with two cracking goals, one in the first few minutes followed closely by the second ⚽️⚽️.

This was shortly followed by Tahiya smashing home our 3rd goal from a penalty kick! 💥 not long after Ivie hit the back of the net with a goal followed by India who then added to the scoreline both with cracking well deserved goals from fantastic effort 👏 Half time ended with us 5-0 up.

In the second half, we dropped to 10 girls but we continued to play with the same fire 🔥 Tay & Ivie bagging another 2 goals each⚽️⚽️ followed closely by India with her fast paced rocket feet, up and down the line saw the ball connect with the net to get her second goal 💪🏼🚀
Violet also found the net today, after some brilliant passing, battling and teamwork! ⚽️

A huge well done to Rugby. Playing with only 9 players they never stopped fighting and the encouragement they shown each other was fantastic sportsmanship. They all played with their heads held high. 👏🏼

1st game of the season for the U10 Diamonds - we faced an early away trip to Melton to face a good Asfordby side, who we have had many good games against over the past few seasons.

The game started off as expected, fast paced with both sides really giving everything. Both sides making some really nice passes, a real pleasure to watch.

Oadby & Wigston started to get control of the game in the middle of the 1st half and created lots of chances but the Asfordby goalkeeper was fantastic, making save after save!

The 2nd half was almost a carbon copy of the 1st half, both teams battling well, creating lots of chances, never giving up and it was a brilliant game for everyone to see.

Goals today from Sienna and Isla ⚽

⚽ Oadby & Wigston U12s 3–0 Rothwell F.C. Aztec U12 Amazons - 06/09/26

A fantastic start to the new season for the Oadby & Wigston U12s! 💙⚽

The girls returned to competitive football with a brilliant 3–0 victory over Rothwell F.C. Aztec U12 Amazons, putting in a performance full of determination, teamwork and some really impressive football.

⭐ A hat-trick hero!
Striker Lila led the way with all three goals, showing great composure in front of goal. Her hat-trick was made possible by some excellent build-up play and perfectly timed through balls from the midfield, creating the opportunities for her to finish.

🧱 Solid at the back
The defence of Lola, Isla, Ava and Ruby were simply too solid for Rothwell to break through. When Rothwell did manage to find a way towards goal, they were met with determined defending and some excellent saves. Emilia and Emelia both played their part in keeping a well-deserved clean sheet, showing great confidence and solidity both in goal and when contributing out on the pitch.

🎯 Midfield magic
Lacie, Millie and Amber controlled the midfield with precise, challenging and smooth football. Their passing, movement and ability to pick out those important through balls gave the attack plenty to work with and played a huge part in creating Lila’s hat-trick.

Most importantly, every single girl contributed. There were some challenging moments, but the girls kept their heads held high, battled through and continued to play football the right way. Girl of the game went to Lila !

A 3–0 win, a hat-trick and a clean sheet is a fantastic way to start! 👏💙

Well done girls — plenty to be proud of, and plenty more to come! ⚽💙

Great game today despite the Poor pitch conditions and the long grass we started off slow, girls bunching together and needed to utilise pockets of space better but every single girl went out there and kept fighting until the end.

A corner kick saw the opposition score an own goal to take us to a 0-1 lead however that didn’t last long and they equalised 1-1 to finish at half time.

Second half and we came out strong, couple of early attempts but nothing on target. For all our strength the opposition also came out fighting.
A lot of scrappy football, bunching and coming out of position but shows us what needs to be worked on

Few scraps on both sides, our player receiving a cut lip and another taking a knock to the nose but a foul from us saw a free kick given to the opposition which entered the back of the net giving them a 2-1 lead and taking the overall win on the day.

We showed pockets of great play , passing was good and we kept battling until the very end so all the girls should be proud of their first game back.

Girl of the game went to Violet for going out of her comfort zone and standing up in challenges showing great strength and determination.
