From the garden to the plate….

Yesterday I dug up the potatoes I planted back in May and we had them for tea.

The best things in life can’t always be rushed.

Potatoes don’t grow overnight, it took time, care, consistency, and trying to get our puppy Walter not to destroy them!

However I’m pleased to say that the consistent daily actions paid off & the end result was pretty tasty.

Your health works in exact same way, one workout, one rep, one kilogram, one daily action, one step at a time, it all adds up.

Whether you are growing veg or building strength, it’s the consistency of small actions that add up to make a real difference.

Build Strength. Gain Confidence. Enjoy Life.

I completed the Cancer Research Pull Up challenge today!

The challenge was simple, but not easy, I had to complete 310 pull ups throughout August.

I am pleased to say that I managed a total of 550 pull ups and I raised a grand total of £660 (my target was £500).

I say ‘I’ raised, but this was only made possible by all the extremely kind donations and support of some amazing people!

A lot of these people are not on social media but I would like to mention those who are .helen

Thank you all very much, your support is massively appreciated.

This was my first ever solo charity event and it has inspired me to do more in the future.

Thanks again. 🙏

As of today I have now completed 453 pull ups and I have raised £520 for

Id like to cap it at a total of 520 pull ups, one pull up per £ raised, unless anyone else feels like donating?

The challenge finishes on Monday, one last push!

Quick update on my pull up challenge for August.

I have completed another 80 pull ups so far this week. This brings my total for the month to 395. The target set by cancer research is 310 for the month, so im happy with my progress so far.

At the time of this post I have raised a total of £520 so far. I set an initial fundraising goal of £500 so to have hit this number with 9 days left to go makes me happy!

Thank you to everyone who has donated, I really do appreciate the support, this is my first ever solo charity event and knowing that I’ve done my bit to help raise some money is very rewarding.

I’m guilty of often slagging social media off, but this has been proof that it can be used positively and that people can be supportive.

Thanks again, more to come.

68 years old. Still climbing & still exploring.

This week, two of my longstanding clients did something amazing with their granddaughter.

At 68 years old, they both took on the O2 Up at The O2 in London, walking 52 metres above ground level.

As I’ve got a bit older myself, I believe more than ever that strength training is about so much more than what happens in the gym.

Training simply gives you more opportunities to say yes to any physical challenge that comes your way.

Climbing the O2 isn’t about being the strongest person in the room, it’s about having the strength, balance & confidence to experience & embrace something new.

Amazing work by Lynne & Alastair and a great example to their granddaughter that we are not defined by our age, only by our actions.

Build Strength. Gain Confidence. Enjoy Life.

I completed another 44 pull ups earlier today.

This brings my grand total to 315.

The initial challenge set by was to complete 310 pull ups by the end of August, but I wanted to see how far I can take it, so I’m going to keep going.

Thanks again for everyone who has kindly donated. I am extremely grateful.
