Renewals are now complete and the waiting list has now been updated , apoligies to anyone that has messaged in the last few weeks regarding the waiting list , I shal now start going through the messages I have not responded to whilst renewals were carried out . Thankyou for your patience.

We are currently in the middle of Renewals , so far uptake has been pretty good , with just a couple of members leaving each rota , however existing members must have fees in by the 1st of april , if you are near the top of the waiting list you will be contacted asap but possibly after the 1st regarding membership offers.

Very sad to hear of the passing of Alan Partridge, Alan was on the staff here at Rosemere and helped to make it the place it is today, he was also a great friend to many of our members and myself , he will be missed by a huge number of people in the angling world , those that had the pleasure of knowing him will tell you what a true innovator he was , if he needed something to do a job and it didnt exist , hed invent it ,he was also a 3rd dan black belt, and way ahead of his time when it came to extreme range casting ,one of the oldskool and without doubt a legend of the game .

RIP my ole mate , I'll miss our chats and listening to your brilliant stories.

Brian Hunt , a fairytale ending.

Brian has been a member on Rosemere for 9 years but when renewals came around this spring Brian informed me that he was moving on too pastures new, I thought I was never going to be rid of him 😂.
In the time of his tenancy, hes pretty much caught all of the carp , certainly the A team , and some of them several times , but one carp "the special one" had evaded him as it does most. For the last 3 years, hes pretty much been exclusively targeting that carp but time was running out for Brian, his last session was this weekend as he will be away on holiday from next week and the chances of spawning coming around which would mean the end of the current season and the end of Brian's membership before his return in a months time are highly likely on Rosemere. I was at the lake yesterday doing some mowing ect , I had just stopped for a chat with one of the members when we heard an extremely loud shout from the other end of the lake, the tone and volume of that shout could only mean one thing, hed got her , and on his very last session, it was an absolute pleasure to witness the passion and happiness that followed, the weight irrelevant but she went 48lb and 3oz on the scales, this was one of those captures that really meant so so much , and a true fairytale ending.

This is why we all do it!
