On our recent visit to Cambridge, it was wonderful to visit the magnificent Great Gate of St John's College which appeared on the Grays logo for many years - a logo which features on our 2022 model, 'The Wingfield'.

Today is a milestone day. It was seven years ago today, 23 May 2019, that Wood Tennis Club publicly launched the first model, the ‘Masterpiece’.

It began with one racket – Prototype #05 (pictured here). Today there are hundreds of Grays rackets in 21 countries.

The top photo here has today been added to the Wood Tennis Club website, at woodtennisclub.com/about-grays-of-cambridge.

Taken in February, it’s the former University Arms Tavern on Parker’s Piece in Cambridge where in the 1850’s a young H.J. Gray began making quality rackets for Cambridge University students.

What was then an indoor Rackets court is now a ballroom. (Photo, bottom right.)

Inside this historic Cambridge building, today a sumptuous hotel, is where it all began.

Just a few miles from here, Grays continue to make the finest rackets.

The owner of a vintage Grays ‘Treble Blue’ has bought a new Grays Wood Tennis cover for his beloved racket. Wonderful!

We’re pleased to say that from now on, when a cover is ordered with a new racket, both items will be shipped to the purchaser together, from the UK.

Until now this hasn’t been possible, but it is now.
