Home kit 2023/2024 has been decided. Yellow is our core colour for the club. We can't let it go! Increasing number of teams are playing in yellow. We are brave enough to hit out a white kit for the year.

Grey kit stays as the Away.

Big shout to the sponsors of the season.

First signing done! 📝

We have managed to get a Sunday league veteran who has won it all out of retirement. In our eyes, he's no vet at being the ripe age of 28!

Zach Preston is the versatile player who can play in most positions. His football is calm and his vision and leadership are one of the best. Being one of the most vocal players we will have is a huge boost for the younger lads. There is a lot some of the players can learn from him.

Previously, he's played for:
Corsham FC
Somerford FC
FC Lacock
Pheasant FC
Swansea Uni futsal (qualified for a European tournament with them)

The season is done and dusted, now is time to take a slight break from the Sunday mornings. Credit to all the players this season. We started the season strong and lead the pack for sometime but the quality of Hourglass and Lion started to show.

With another season with one of the youngest squads in all 4 divisions we held our own. A few of the veterans helped us along the way.

A highlight for the club this season was the cup run we had in the knockout Cup. Beating eventual winners PF LOCO in a dominating performance at the start of the season. In the next round another Premier Division Team and this season Premier Division winners Scoop FC. A penalty shootout win for the Spires. This seen us somehow get drawn against another tough team in FC Box. The eventual knockout Cup winners took us out the competition.

In the league we've had a good run but fell short against the title contenders. We eventually got one over on one of them with a great win against the British lion. The first half provided our best performance of the season.

Spires played a total of 4 games this year with a out and out number 9. With that being said we had the most deadliest attack in the league scoring 68 goals in 18 games.

This year was all about bettering our debut season last year and as a club we done that. We've all agreed next year will be another tough year with a couple of big signings coming in, we hope to win silverware.

Big congratulations to Hourglass and Lion, together we've proved that Sunday league at this moment in time is as competitive as ever with most teams being able to give local Saturday teams a game.

Thank you to all the players and the Sunday morning supporters making this season another great one!

Spires atheltic 3 - 2 British lion

Wow! What a game to end the season, it had everything. Penalty misses, red cards, woodwork being hit and goals. We knew this game doesn't effect our season but a personal battle for us. With the Lion 4 from 4 against us we wanted to win this to sign the season off on a high! We did exactly that.

The first half was a fast start from us getting right up into the faces of the Lion. Aiden Jackson playing number 9 this evening and we built up through him with ease. Every ball fired into he held up and moved. gave there RB the run around and he couldn't keep up with the pacey playmaker. Every player in that first half didn't put a foot wrong. Lion scored a brilliant goal against run of play to answer back to a strike from the makeshift left back and a follow up to a free kick which Aiden had a tap in. The first half finished 2-1 to us. Wallis and Pete dealt with the dangerous number 9 throughout.

Second half starts and we aren't one to mention refs but we felt hard done by a few decisions throughout the final 45 mins. We didn't let that go against us and kept battling, of course Lion came out strong put us under pressure at times. The Spires woodwork was hit and Matty Baker making some great saves. Bolwell got the Third with another great assist from Dylan hatt.

Last 15 mins Spires went down to 10 and a penalty missed. The biggest part of the game tonight was last season we would crumble and throw that game away with being a man down but tonight we did ourselves proud and ended on a great result.

Onto tomorrow night for the end of season awards night.

Every single player could of earned that MOTM but only right to give it to the goal scorer which sealed the game Josh Bolwell.

Congratulations to the on a great debut season and we hope to be battling next year with them.
