“A fantastic start to our season and we couldn’t be prouder of our group.
We were slow and cautious in the beginning of the game and you could tell there were a few nerves amongst the players.
Once we got to half time and we’re able to regroup and settle ourselves down we came out the second half and completely dominated the game.
Our football was incredible, moving the ball through the lines with real purpose and everything just started clicking.
Ruby Nolan had a fantastic game, scoring and picking up player of the match but I also wanted to mention Emma Sykes who scored and provided assists in her first competitive debut for the club.
The morale of this team is really driving us into the new season and the togetherness, along with the brilliant football we’re playing is so rewarding to watch.
But what is exciting for us, is I know this group are still capable of delivering more and I know we will.
I want to take this moment to wish Whitchurch all the best for the upcoming season, a club which I have great relationships with their players and I hope to see them do well this year
Looking ahead, we look forward to welcoming Bishops Cleeve for the season opener at The SECURE Stadium this weekend in what we know will be an extremely tough fixture. We played them last season in the FA Cup and was extremely impressed with their set up and the quality of their side. Come down to the club and support the girls, we look forward to seeing you all again”
