SANDWELL SHOWDOWN 2026

This weekend, 8 of our divers attended the Sandwell Showdown in Birmingham. This was an opportunity for them to try and qualify for either National Skills Finals or National Age Group Championships. It was a really successful weekend with lots of medals, qualifications and PBs in a very competitive field.

This weekend Leonard and Coach Lucy attended the Armada cup in Plymouth. This age competition was Leonard's first competition this year and it was the first time he's competed in all 3 individual events (1m, 3m and platform).

This weekend Leonard attended his first Swim England Youth Development Camp alongside Coach Warren at Pond's Forge in Sheffield 🏴󠁧󠁢󠁥󠁮󠁧󠁿

It was a fantastic experience, Leonard was put through his paces by some top coaches from England and Scotland as well as trying some new skills across the 3 days. Congratulations for his hard work!

Following his recent success at Talent Games 2025, Leonard has become the first diver from Corby to be selected for the Youth Development Squad for 2026-2027.

He will attend training camps up and down the country alongside Coach Warren over the next 2 years. This is an absolutely fantastic achievement and a big milestone for the club.

This weekend, 7 of our divers attended white rose in Leeds. For some it was their first competition of the season, and for others their first time competing 12 skills.

This weekend, 7 of our divers attended the National Skills Finals in Southend. Our divers had worked incredibly hard all year to qualify for this competition and they all performed amazing and gained valuable experience.

This weekend Viv and Leonard took on their first ever National Age Group Championships. It was a fantastic experience for the divers and they performed really well to show off how hard they had worked this year. We also achieved CSDC's first ever NAGs medals at this event which is not only a massive achievement for the divers but for all of our coaching staff.

Viv- 16th in Girls A 3m & 9th on 1m

Leonard- 2nd in Open D 3m, 2nd on 1m & 4th in Open C/D 1m synchro 🥈🥈

This weekend, 4 divers attended the South East Region qualifier in Tunbridge Wells with coaches Charlie and Viv.
For the first time in the club's history, all divers that have tried to hit their qualification score to reach the National finals (in either skills or age groups) have been successful, which is a massive achievement for our divers and coaches.

Just under a month to go until our Summer internal competition, please sign your divers up and bring your families to watch. it's going to be an action packed day where divers can get a taste of competition whilst also having a lot of fun. This competition is open to our club divers and any diver within lessons. We hope to see you there! 💙🖤
