Lil Dynos is a fun-filled introduction to martial arts, creating a solid foundation for children, in which to develop their fitness levels, life skills, social skills and character. The physical aspects of the class have an emphasis on fun, teaching the fundamentals of martial arts. Self-defence is an important life skill and it is the essence of this martial art. The life skills part of the class

focuses on the tenants of martial arts which teaches courtesy, integrity, perseverance, self-control and indominatable spirit. Our primary objective is to get children participating in a fun and relaxed way so that they can learn the beautiful art of martial arts. Li’l Dyno’s teaches more than martial arts. We want to encourage good citizenship, a sense of community, of belonging, and taking pride in one’s achievements. Therefore, out of the tenants of Taekwondo we have created a number of units, such as safety for example, which focuses on street awareness and personal safety in different situations. We also work with the Police and Fire Brigade who give talks on safety and we work with the local swimming instructors to encourage children to learn this important life skill. As children progress or achieve certain units of our programme we reward them. Every month children can work towards reward badges, as well as training to progress in Taekwondo gradings. We believe the more you put into life the more you get out of it. Therefore, participation is paramount and 100% effort is encouraged and rewarded.
