Sharon has been trained by some of the top educators in the fields of Sport Science, Exercise Physiology and Sport & Remedial Massage Therapy at the ISRM approved London School of Sports Massage. She began her education in health and fitness performance while undertaking a Master’s degre
e in Health Psychology further enhancing her Psychology degree at Loughborough University and continues to participate in high level further study in order to remain at the forefront of Health and Fitness education. Sharon is a registered member of the Institute of Sport and Remedial Massage (ISRM) and the Register of Exercise Professionals (REPs) and is required to obtain a certain level of CPD (continued professional development), education and experience each year in order to remain a member of these professional bodies. The ISRM and REPs logo is your assurance of a competent and well educated practitioner working safely and effectively within your community and that Sharon is suitably knowledgeable and qualified to help safeguard and to promote the health and interests of the people who use her services. Sharon is also a member of The Complementary & Natural Healthcare Council (CNHC) - an organisation formed with backing from the Department of Health for the purpose of regulating complementary therapies. Sharon works closely with Physiotherapists, Chiropractors, Osteopaths and other Health Care Professionals building up and using an extensive referral network ensuring that you are always being cared for by the appropriate practitioner. Sharon works alongside tri-athletes, footballers, tennis players, rowers, runners and dancers assisting in keeping them in a prime state of health and fitness. She also works regularly in a clinical setting and at home helping people to manage and/or overcome depression, ME, surgical intervention, joint replacement and the ‘aches and pains’ of office working and ‘stressful lives’. As a tri-athlete and dancer herself Sharon has experienced how it feels to train to a high standard, and is well aware of the agony and inconvenience of sports injuries and enforced rest. Sharon has had first-hand experience of injury, illness and the subsequent rehabilitation process.
