Northern qualifiers are officially done and dusted 👏👏

A very well done to all of our sailors for doing us proud as per. Newcastle Brown delivered ranking third with Blue coming in at sixth and Red ranking ninth overall. Get ready to see our Brown and Blue teams at BUCS finals and playoffs respectively 🫡

A massive thank you to everyone volunteering at Derwent this weekend and to Isobel and the rest of for being brilliant hosts :)

Theme is back to school, expecting you all in your smartest school uniform, will be punishments for those who don’t follow the dress code.

The moment you've all been waiting for…

It's the official launch of Summer Sail Week 2023 !!

We're off to Athens this year for a fun-filled week yachting around the coast of Greece.
It’s honestly a once in a lifetime opportunity, and anyone who's been before will tell you it's the highlight of the year!

Dates:
Saturday 24th June 2023 -
Saturday 1st July 2023.

Price:
£504 (flights not included)
While this may seem like a lot of money, for a week-long trip partying onboard a yacht with all your friends, you can't find a deal like it anywhere else!

A bit more about the trip:
The route starts and finishes in Allimos Marina, Athens.
Which is a modern marina with all the amenities you'd expect. And only a 45-minute bus ride from Athens airport- with buses running every 20 minutes during the day.

There are direct flights from London, Manchester and Edinburgh to Athens on the Saturday. And a direct flight from Bristol on the Friday, if people want to arrive a day early to have an extra night in a hostel in Athens.

A typical route from Athens will be around the Saroni Islands:
Saturday - Athens
Sunday - Natural Bay (Raft)
Monday - Ermioni
Tuesday - Port Cheli
Wednesday - Dokos
Thursday - Poros
Friday - Athens

A reminder that anyone wanting to sail this year must attend a swim test, the last one is tonight at 7pm at Jesmond Pool & Gym, please bring £1 with you for cost.

Any new or returning students wishing to race this year will be required to attend team trials.

All info regarding team trials, club socials and social sailing will be posted on the NUSYC club members 22/23 page. You can join this page using the reference number you receive after paying for membership.

The first trial event is tomorrow afternoon. Hopefully see you there. :)
