What a great week and weekend it was! Amazing to see Bluebird K7 back on the water. And thank you for being so accommodating to our groups of both youngsters and adults, made their stay at Thurston even more memorable! 👏 👏 👏

Next to thank are all the businesses on and around Coniston Water.

Thank you to everyone for being so accommodating, we knew we would have to “share” the lake and all the businesses that use the water on a regular basis worked with us and made life so much easier - thank you all so much.

Well what a busy Easter break!

While we have had no groups at Thurston it’s given us time to clean and maintain the centre, especially with the campsite now open for the season!

We’ve also taken time to upskill our staff. Our two newest members of the team, Owen, our hospitality apprentice, has gained his Emergency First Aid and Grace, our Outdoor Education apprentice, her Paddlesport Safety and Rescue Award. Well done both!

All of our instructors were also putting their skills to test and achieved their Sheltered Water, Inland Open Water paddleboard leader or both this week! Many thanks to all our student volunteers who gave their time and to Kinetic Paddlesports for a fantastic 5 days!

Looking forward to welcoming our first group of the Summer term next week!

💪 Students have been out and about all day building their resilience and teamwork skills!

⛰️ A day of ghyll scrambling and hiking up Black Crag! What a good start to their adventures - we can’t wait to see what they get up to tomorrow!
