BHR Darley Moor 🏁

What a weekend! Some incredibly close racing, a few curbs ridden a little harder than planned, and plenty of fun on the RD.

We came away with a couple of 1st in class finishes, along with 2nd and 3rd place finishes across 250 class and the 500 class races.

A massive thank you to Jamie from WINDY SHED CLASSICS for all the help and support over the weekend – it was hugely appreciated.

The RD has definitely been the toughest bike I’ve taken on.

Countless hours at Andy’s and at home are finally starting to pay off. A 2nd in class at Tonfanau is a great step in the right direction, but we’re nowhere near finished yet.

Plenty more to come from me and the RD. 🏁💨

🏁 Tonfanau Race Report 🏁

The second-to-last ever meeting at Tonfanau… and what a weekend! 🏴󠁧󠁢󠁷󠁬󠁳󠁿🏍️

With stunning Welsh scenery, a fast, sketchy circuit, and sheep poo for days, it certainly kept us on our toes! After a 10-hour journey and only a short night’s sleep, Frankie was straight into the action.

The highlight of the weekend was bringing home 2nd in class on the RD250 and, even better, Frankie’s first ever trophy in classic racing! 🏆 A moment we’ll definitely remember.

The VFR400 also had some brilliant close battles all weekend. The front end had been feeling a little vague, and after the racing we discovered the headstock was loose… which explained a lot!

A mega weekend of racing in Wales, making memories at one of the UK’s most iconic circuits before it bows out. Thanks to everyone who came to support, the marshals, organisers, and everyone behind the scenes.

🏁 BOB McINTYRE MEMORIAL RACES | EAST FORTUNE 🏁

A weekend of progress, learning and plenty of laps at East Fortune for the Bob McIntyre Memorial Races.

After spending much of the season chasing reliability issues, the biggest achievement this weekend wasn’t a trophy or a result – it was finishing every race that was started. Every time the Honda #74 rolled out of the paddock, it crossed the finish line under its own steam.

With each session came more confidence, more experience and faster lap times. By the end of the weekend, over 11 seconds had been found, showing just how much progress was made over the meeting.

Sometimes the biggest wins aren’t found on the results sheet. A full weekend of race finishes, valuable track time and a bike that kept going to the chequered flag every time out makes this one a weekend to remember.

Onwards to the next one. 👊

🏁 RACE WEEKEND LOADING… 🏁

Whitby Racing 47 is heading north this weekend for the legendary Bob McIntyre Memorial Races at East Fortune Raceway in Scotland. A fantastic event celebrating classic motorcycle racing and honouring one of Scotland’s greatest racers, Bob McIntyre.

After a challenging start to the season, we’re looking forward to getting back on track, turning laps, and enjoying another weekend racing with friends old and new.

As always, a huge thank you to everyone who supports us both at the circuit and from home. Safe travels to everyone making the trip north, and we’ll keep you updated throughout the weekend.

Not the easiest race weekend I’ve had!

Practice started with the bike refusing to rev out properly, and despite missing Race 1 while we chased carb and jetting issues, we managed to get out for Race 2… only for the bike to seize and earn me a trip back to the paddock in the big red recovery van. 😅

After a BBQ and a few drinks with the RAF Classic Racing Team on Saturday evening, we came back on Sunday determined to make progress.

The bike felt much better in practice, and Race 3 saw me finally take the chequered flag for my first finish of the weekend. 💪

We made further improvements for Race 4, but with the bike getting hot and signs of another possible seizure, I made the decision to pull in and save the engine for another day.

Not the results I wanted, but plenty learned and lots of positives to take away. Huge thanks to the RAF Classic Racing Team for all the support throughout the weekend.
