Hi everyone. 👋, There was a bit of a breeze 🌬️ at the Allan Barker stadium 🏟️last night. Twelve enthusiastic players turned up for football ⚽️, with our trusty referee Pete 📯, Hazel as cheerleader, (we have to get her some pompoms 🤣)and Heather on the score board. Thank you 😊.
Yellow Bibs were Sue, Mick, Elvis 🕺🏼, Matt, Alison and Vanessa in goal 🥅🙌.
Purples Bibs were Zippy, Steve, aka the Road Runner⚡, Paul aka Billy Whiz⚡, Nick M, Reg, and Shaz. They took turns in goal.
The matches played tonight were twelve minutes each way.
The first half was mighty fast-paced. Purple were on form with Road Runner ⚡running rings around Yellow's defence 😳. Yellow swore blind that the Road Runner ⚡had flames on his feet 🔥, and the Ref had spotted it. He gave Yellow a free kick. Yellow fought well and managed to break through Purple's defence, but alas the shots at Purple's goal didn't hit the mark. Road Runner and Billy Whiz ⚡worked together with some fantastic footwork and Road Runner ⚡scored one for Purple 🥳. Again, Yellow pushed forward, but Purple, with some great team work, scored again thanks to Road Runner 🥳.
Half time whistle blew. We had a quick H20 break 🥤.
Second half was brilliantly played. Yellow held back Purple in their own half and Mick scored for Yellow 🥳. Purple were racking up points for their running 🏃‍♂️ misdemeanours 🤦‍♂️🫵. Yellow managed to keep Purple busy until the final whistle.
The score was 2-1.
Second match. The first half, was mighty challenging, Yellow worked hard 💪 keeping Purple busy. Yellow had some brilliant team work 👏helping Alison to score for Yellow 🥳. Purple went on full attack mode, Yellow put up a great defence, but alas Road Runner got through and scored three goals for Purple 🥳🥳🥳making it his hattrick 🎩. Again Yellow pushed forward but Purple were making Yellow work hard to score. The whistle blew for half time. A quick H20 break 🥤and to catch our breath 😮‍💨😮‍💨😮‍💨😮‍💨.
Second half commenced. It was a tremendously well played game. As usual 🙄 we had some misdemeanours, as you get in every game, but Pete was quick on the whistle catching the culprits 🫵. There was a lot of back and forth by both teams eager to score. Eventually, Mick from Yellows scored 🥳. Purple answered that with a goal from Road Runner ⚡. Both teams defence and passing skills were excellent 👏. The final score was 5-2 to Purple.
Another brilliant night with great camaraderie.
Thank you everyone for coming.

So after the thunder and rain yesterday, last night's football was a pleasant evening's football at the Allan Barker Field, where 10 ladies strode out to play. After a warm up we went straight into the football tonight, the teams were:
Oranges, Jackie, Leanne, Vanessa, Emma and Nicola
Greens, Claire, Jayne, Alice, Shazza & Nic
Game 1 Jackie and Leanne scored 1 each for Oranges and Alice replied with a goal for Greens Game ended 2v1 Oranges
Game 2 Leanne scored 2 and Emma 1 for Oranges replied again by 1 for Alice.
Game ended 3v1 Oranges.
I went in goal for the Oranges with Vanessa given the opportunity to play outfield.
Game 3 ended 0v0 after some great attempts at both ends, and the 4th and final game also ended 0v0.
Overall tonight some really good football played by both teams, both in defence and attack, but Oranges passing and moving into space really did make the difference tonight. Well done everyone. See you all next week.

Hi everyone 👋. At the Allan Barker stadium 🏟️, thirteen football ⚽️ players turned up to play. The resident ref, Pete 📯was there to keep things in order 👍.
We got to try on our new bibs 🎽with numbers on so Pete can shout " your number is up!". We had a newcomer today, his name is Lee. He went away with a membership form 📃, hopefully he will join. He did say he enjoyed himself 😄.
In White Bibs were Cary as goalie 🙌🥅, Nick M, Dave, Matt, Paul, Lee and Stew.
In the Green Bibs 🎽The Three Musketeers 🛡️⚔️, Flash ⚡, Stephen M as Goalie 🥅🙌 and Stephen O.
As usual the two games were twelve minutes each way, with the water 💧 breaks and time to catch our breath 😮‍💨.
Game one. The first half was mighty challenging for White, trying hard to keep Green at bay. Green kept White busy by challenging their defence. Pete was watching 👀 eagerly to catch out any rule breakers 🤦‍♂️, yep you guessed it, there were plenty of them. White tried hard to break Green defence, alas it didn't work. In fact we saw 👀 the Green's goalie get out his picnic lunch 🥪🥤🍕. Green were strong 💪, and eventually they found their mark and scored. Twinkle toes ✨️ scored twice 🥳🥳for Green. White tried hard to score, with some nifty moves, but alas they were stopped in their tracks 👣 😕 by Green. The whistle blew marking half time.
Second half. Whites went on full guns blazing hoping for a goal. They pushed forward into Green's defence, and with a bit of luck White had a bash at goal but missed 😭. Before White knew it, Green had sneaked through their defence and Sharpey scored 🥳. White tried hard with great gusto to score but time was up, marking full-time.
Final score was 3-0 to Green.
Second match. The first half was full of enthusiasm from both sides. This time White were attacking Green's defence with some fantastic tactics and skills. Making Green think 🤔 of how they were going to stop them. All Whites could do is try to make a strong 💪 defence to stop them coming. It didn't work, as you can guess Green were at it again, Twinkle toes ✨scoring two 🥳🥳. White went on to full on attack again with some fantastic shots at goal but Stephen M saved them 🙌.
Pete was on his whistle blowing at the misdemeanours. There were some great tackles from both sides, and blocking skills. White held their own until the half time whistle blew.
Second half. Was just as exciting as the first half, some tremendously well played football by both sides 👏.
It looked like luck was on White's side, as they made a break from Green's defence and headed towards Green's goal. Pete caught a foul by White and awarded a penalty to Green. Stephen O stepped up to the challenge, and took the penalty, and scored for Green 🥳. White held their own for a while, keeping Green back. Then Green found a way through and scored again 🥳with the shot coming from Chris. White tried hard for another shot at goal but it was not to be.
Final score was 4-0.
Both games were played with tremendous spirit 👏. Both goalies did a tremendous job, especially Cary who saved some fantastic shots from the Greens👏👏👏👏.
A great session with some great camaraderie 😁.
Thank you to everyone who came today.

Hi everyone 👋. Thirteen players turned out to play football ⚽️ at the Allan Barker stadium tonight. The goalies were Cary for Blues and Vanessa from Yellow. Also our resident ref, Pete 📯, and some spectators, Katy and Heather, thank you for coming. Heather also kept an eye 👁 the scores 🧮, thank you 😊.
The teams were picked by Colin and in Blue Bibs were Cary, Paul, Jackie, Alison, Nick M, Stephen O, and Mick.
Yellow Bibs were, Nick S, Flash ⚡, Dave, Matt and Shaz and Nic.
Both games were twelve minutes each way, with
water💧 breaks to get our breath back 🥵🥵🫠.
The first half of game one was three touch rules. Blue came out strong 💪, with some great passing skills. Yellow managed to push Blue back in their half for while. Alison from Blue, received a great pass from her teammates and scored 🥳. Yellow played well with some blinding shots at goal but alas they didn't manage to score 😕. The whistle blew marking half time. The second half was unlimited touches, this was where some misdemeanours happened 😳. But Pete was quick to spot them 🫵 and rectify them. Both sides defended well which meant there were no goals scored. Both goalies did some great work.
Game two. Both sides defended well and managed some great passing skills. Yellow and Blue played their socks off in the first half, 👏 managing to stop each other from scoring. Pete was watching 👀 eagerly for any mistakes, and not to disappoint him there were a few. Second half was eagerly played with some exciting moves. Nick S took an opportunity and scored for Yellow🥳. There was some tremendously played football ⚽️ by both sides. But eventually Yellow scored, courtesy of Mick 🥳. But there was no time left for the Blues to catch up, because the final whistle was blown. We left the pitch feeling rather hot 🔥 🥵. There some questions asked about the last goal but the Ref is always right. There were plenty of hand shakes 🤝🤝🤝🤝🤝🤝🤝🤝 at the end.
A big thank you goes to Sue for being the first aider ⛑️ tonight.
Well played everyone, thank you for coming 👏.

Hi everyone 👋. Friday night at The Cage the numbers were low, but that didn't spoil the action 🎬 packed games played here tonight. They were played with great enthusiasm with a total of twenty two goals being scored 👏 ⚽⚽🥅🥅 over the hour of playing. Even Matt making the score board🥳🥳🥳.
Green Bibs were Matt, Nick, Shaz and Rob the goalie.
Orange Bibs were Elvis🕺🏼, John, Simon B, and Sue. Orange took it in turns to play in goal. Heather was putting the scores on the doors 🧮, thank you 😊. As we had no referee it was down to self-discipline 😉, but we managed.
First game was excellently played by everyone, with great defence. Sue for Orange managed to put one in the net🥳 Green tried for a comeback, but Simon with his long legs, 🦵 managed to out pace the Green's defence and scored twice for Orange🥳. However, this time the Green's great tactics paid off with Matt scoring for them 🥳. John answered the call from his teammates and scored for Orange 🥳. Greens made a gallant attempt to catch up, and Shaz🥳 scored. No time left on the clock, and the whistle blew.
Final score was 4-2 to Orange.
Game two. This time Green came out fighting with some fantastic tactics and passing. Nick scored for Green,🥳 which upset Orange and they came back with Simon🥳 scoring two. Matt managed to break through Orange defence and scored one for Green 🥳. There was a lot of exciting tackles from both sides, then Simon scored one for Orange, making it his hattrick 🎩. Green managed to out smart Orange, with another goal from Nick🥳. Time was counting down to the final whistle, then John scored for Orange.
Final score was 4-3 to Orange.
We had plenty of H20 💦breaks and a rest between each game and catch our breath 🥵🥵🥵🥵.
Game Three was again tremendously well played by both sides. Just like the other games played, It was full of thrills and spills. With goals from Elvis and John and Simon for Orange. Elvis scored twice and John and Simon one each🥳🥳🥳🥳🥳. Matt from Green scored twice 🥳🥳.
The last game of the evening. This game got really exciting. Each team were playing their socks off, with Green hoping to even up the score. But Orange had other ideas 💡, and Sue scored one 🥳 Green tried hard with a great defence, but John sneaked through and scored for Orange 🥳. Final minutes left on the clock and Matt scored again for Green, then the whistle blew.
Great work done by the goalies. Everyone played fantastically well tonight considering the numbers were low. The camaraderie was brilliant 👏. Overall score was 14-8 to Orange. Thank you coming tonight.
