☀️ **Tennis Lessons Postponed Due to Heat** ☀️

Hi everyone, due to the very high temperatures forecast, we have made the decision to postpone **all tennis coaching sessions at Congresbury Tennis Club on Wednesday 24th June and Thursday 25th June**.

This includes **all junior sessions, adult classes and toddler classes**.

The sessions will be rescheduled for the **week commencing Monday 20th July**, on the same day/time as your usual session:

🎾 **Wednesday sessions** will move to **Wednesday 22nd July**
🎾 **Thursday sessions** will move to **Thursday 23rd July**

We know this may be disappointing, but the safety and wellbeing of all players comes first, and we have been advised to limit activities in the heat.

☀️ Tennis Sessions in the Warm Weather ☀️

Just a quick update regarding this weeks weather!

At the moment, our tennis sessions will still be running as planned unless you hear otherwise from us. We’ll continue to monitor the weather and will cancel if we feel conditions are not safe or suitable. At the moment it looks like Wednesday and Thursday coaching will most likely be cancelled but will keep monitoring and let you guys know ASAP.

With the warmer weather, please make sure players bring plenty of water. We can refill bottles in the clubhouse if needed. Please also make sure players have suitable sun protection, such as a hat, appropriate clothing and sunscreen. A reminder that sunscreen must be applied by the player or parent/guardian, not by the coaches.

Sessions will be adapted for the conditions. We won’t be doing anything as intense as usual, and all activities will be scaled down to make sure everyone stays safe and comfortable. Players are always welcome to take a rest whenever they need to.

We’ll also include some fun water-based activities to help everyone cool off and enjoy the session.

Summer Camps are coming at Congresbury LTC 🎾

Summer Tennis Camps are back at Congresbury Tennis Club for 2026 — and this year is our biggest summer yet!

For the first time, we’re running 6 weeks of almost full-day camps, giving children even more chances to get on court, stay active and have fun during the summer holidays.

Our camps are suitable for all ages and abilities, from complete beginners to regular players. Sessions include tennis coaching, games, challenges and lots of fun with friends. Rackets can be provided, so children don’t need their own equipment to take part.

We’re also excited to be running Teen Camps for the first time this year, giving older juniors their own sessions during the summer.
