Big season ahead for Congleton Rugby Union Football Club, they are going to smash it.

🔴⚫️ CLUB ANNOUNCEMENT ⚫️🔴

CRUFC is pleased to announce its new coaching team for the 2025/26 season.

Philip Humphrey will become the Head Coach with Ross Somers becoming the 1st team coach. Together, they will lead the senior mens squad.

Richard Burkhard will also become the ladies team coach.

Please join me in wishing the guys well and show your support in training.

🏉 FiTaG Saturday – What a Morning! 🏉

This morning was nothing short of epic. The pitch was packed, the energy was high, and the smiles were everywhere.

The young kids are improving week in, week out – sharper passes, quicker tags, and growing in confidence. The older kids are running superb lines, holding that defensive wall like pros, and their tagging is bang on. And the adults? Well, we’re actually running forward now, making yardage, and celebrating like we’ve just scored at Twickenham!

Speaking of celebrations, they’re getting better every week. The whole team is now rallying around the scorer, showing some serious team sportsmanship. The competitive edge is starting to shine through, but it’s still all about fun, family, and fitness.

Best part? Those smiling faces – young and old. The adults were drenched in sweat, but no one stopped grinning. 💪

Massive shoutout to Ash for making it possible for me to get back on the pitch – Hazza and I absolutely love our Saturday mornings here. When Sammy and Nicki come down, they love it too. Honestly, this is gold for our family’s mindset, and I hope it does the same for yours.

🔥 Today’s Showdown:
Blue Sharks 🦈 8 – 8 Yellow Villains 💛 (Yes… a few Villa fans snuck in – nooooo! 😅)

The whistle blew at full time… sudden death time! “Next try wins!” echoed across the pitch. The Yellows pushed hard, almost crossing the line, but the Blues stole the show in the end with a winner straight out of the top drawer.

We’re kicking off at 0945hrs sharp until 1045hrs, so you’ve got plenty of time to get home and watch the British & Irish Lions First Test! 🦁🏉

🌧️ There’s an 85% chance of rain, so dress appropriately – I’d recommend studs for grip. If it ain’t raining, it ain’t training! 💪 Could be a proper slip and slide session – towels at the ready! 😅

🔥 Parents – get practising those try celebrations… style points are non-negotiable.

And remember… any late arrivals may face the Judgment Dice 🎲😈 Mwahahahahah!

Quick heads up for everyone joining us tomorrow—we’ll be starting at 0945hrs sharp to make sure everyone can get home in time to watch the Official Lions Rugby 🦁🏉

It’s going to be a hot one, so bring plenty of water, slap on the suncream, and maybe wear trainers instead of studs as the ground will be rock hard.

Bring that amazing FiTaG spirit, get those celebrations ready, and let’s make it another cracking morning of fun, fitness, and a bit of friendly chaos.

We might run four teams across two pitches, depending on numbers, so be ready for plenty of game time!
