A little hidden gem on the Isle of Arran 📚🏝️

Arran Library might be small, but it’s full of charm. Nestled in the heart of Brodick, it’s a cosy space where locals and visitors can slow down, browse the shelves, and enjoy a quiet moment on the island.

With views of Goat Fell nearby and the sea just a short walk away, it’s the perfect reminder that even on a wild and beautiful island, there’s always room for a good book.

A short evening walk up Latrigg for sunset.

A relaxed climb with the group and clear views over Keswick as the sun went down. A nice little way to end the day after hiking around Derwentwater.

🟢🟡🔴 Difficulty Guide

Whether it’s a monthly group day hike or organised event. It’s important to understand what the event entails. We use the following structure as a guide so you know what to expect:

🟢 EASY
Low distance, good paths, minimal ascent
Ideal for beginners

🟡 MODERATE
Longer distance, steady climbs, uneven ground
You’re active and comfortable walking for several hours

🔴 CHALLENGING
Big elevation, rough terrain, full mountain day
Good fitness and hill experience needed

If the difficulty rating is accompanied by the plus symbol this means the route involves a scramble of some sort. Full details and grading will be explained.

It is always recommended to extensively research the route yourself first before taking part as the above is used as a guide.
