👋 an update from me 🙋♀️
You may have seen that I've been at the gym a lot recently, but mostly to work and not train flat out like a normally would at this time of year during the squash season 1
After trying to come back after dislocating my cuboid bone at nationals & for the Qatar Class and US Open, it was agreed by my team (can't believe I get to say that, how lucky am I?!) and I that I would be off the squash court/off feet (that basically means no impact/random movement/ working of the foot in any way) for 3 weeks ☹️
This is why l've always been an advocate for doing other things outside of squash/sport. Whether it be studying, working, a hobby.. anything. Personally I feel it's very healthy to have another outlet to focus on, so that squash/ sport doesn't become your everything 🌍 and it doesn't feel like the world has ended if you're injured or ill for a while. It makes the recovery time go faster, trust me! Having my PT guys and gals to focus on has made these 3 weeks fly by!! 🛩️
Now that l'm allowed to go back on court, my normal training/work split resumes. You'll still find me at Le Sport practically all day, but fingers crossed this enforced rest means I can consistently be found on the squash court or gym more than on the gym floor or reception! 🤞
Thank you to everyone who has adapted and stuck with me to be YOUR trainer 💪 keep booking in while I’m still home so we can get you on steady form for when I’m away/Christmas arrives ✨
I get to go on a squash court tomorrow !!!! 🥹🥳🙌
